For a year I've been testing different DIY solutions for my speakers. First spikes, then cones, then vibration feet - now SwingBase type solutions.
First I made outboard SwingBase stands for the speakers, then made them integrated under the speakers. After those positive experiences, I still made separate SwingBase's for the horn tweeters and the out board crossovers.
Boenicke Audio is of course the exemplar here. Their top model W22 has separate swings for drivers - even tweeter.
It is quite incredible how much difference resonance control (speakers and other equipment) make - even for the crossovers. I'm even inclined to think that maybe speakers without substantial resonance control will never sound their best..?
