DaVa FC-A1 a field coil contender

the DaVa can generate quite a lot of heat and it needs to be led away from the cart body
I was also on a general basis recommended the ebony by Richard, but it´s NOT suited for the DaVa
also the slots and headshell is too short for my Kiseki Blackheart or Koetsu Rosewood Signature Platinum
Thank you for the advice. I'll make sure to change the headshell for the metal version before I mount the Dava.

Maybe use an aluminum heatsink from model making. Simply take two longer screws and drill two holes in it and screw them to the metal headshell.

Correct idea, but insufficient solution to prevent your records from becoming crispy critters under the stellar radiation of a DAVA cart. There is a much more elegant solution from my PC building / overclocking days given the specific heat of water: 4180 J/(kg.K). My design also allows you to effortlessly run the FC wiring along the cooling apparatus. Please note : due to the heat generated by the DAVA which must be shunted away from everything not made of pure copper to prevent meltage/ignition, you will need a sizeable radiator.

Interestingly, the Lithuanian military has found a novel, non-sonic use for DAVA carts in cutting through heavy armour that requires obscene temperatures when thermite can’t get the job done. Large defense contract pending final approval, I hear. Typically military needs drive civilian applications, yet here you have the opposite where a significant engineering flaw turns out to be a driving innovation in the military-industrial complex. Go figure!

Semper Fi!

DaVa PS cubed.

Finished construction of 2 DaVa Field Coil damper diode PS's under difficult circumstances here while we go through some life events.

One is for my friend Rick Mak of Analog Magik fame and PT Audiophile, and one is for my other friend - the Canadian Kuzma distributor who has surmised that FC's add so much more excitement and energy to the experience he's adding the DaVa to Audio Note FC he received earlier this year.

I realized that I dislike construction now more than ever- the chassis work is a real pain if you don't have a machine shop.

The DaVa + safir combo is over the top.

NIce work! I do need to try a tube PS on my DaVa carts at some point soon.

If it weren't for all the diy required I'd get into a DaVa myself.
If only there was someone offering a complete installation in uk

Darius will come and install for you, just ask him.

Multiple step ups to try with DAVA Soul

Darius just sent me his experimental personal design for impressions. I have the Rada here and I have been enjoying the Kondo for a couple weeks sorting out my impressions on it. More later.

Into the Io ?

Silver yes for Darius’ , kondo Of course is all silver, Rada input is silver output is copper- it’s very good

Into the Io ?
Yes Dava needs a step up into Io- Etsuro goes straight in on the other input.

I’ve got major changes coming on the analog front so - I need to get these trials done before everything is different again.

New model from DaVa appeared on my facebook feed. Major.

7ohm impedance 0.5 output. Previously it was 025 mV out. Conical and alum cantilever, replaces A1 and reference.
