A good friend who was the Philippine distributor of Dahlquist speakers in the 70s told me about this very small speaker he got as a gift for from the company and has only hooked it up till now, almost 40 years after, and he says it surprised him in performance as they even bested a pair of Sequerra Pyramid 7 in a shoot-out. And it can be switched to become a car speaker. He tells me it was designed by Saul Marantz who was then working with Jon Dahlquist in the company. I found the pics by doing a net search but got no further info. Anybody heard of these?

Hi Phil,

I am not familiar with them. But Regnar/Dahlquist in Patchogue, NY on Long Island still lists them as being supported by them for service. Regnar has bought back the Dahlquist name, is manufacturing speakers some I believe under the Dahlquist name. They employ many of the staff members of the old Dahlquist company.

You may wish to contact them:

Joe may be able to provide you with some information.

Last year I had them rebuild my woofers for my Dahlquist DQ-6 bookshelf speakers.

Hi Rich,

Thanks so much for the info. Will relay it to my friend in case he will need servicing in the future.
