Liquidity is the right incentive
But liquidity will be a major health issue when we have no toilet paper (see also DDK’s recent highly visual supermarket pic post).

How about some good news?

-China has closed down its last coronavirus hospital. Not enough new cases to support them.

- Doctors in India have been successful in treating Coronavirus. Combination of drugs used: Lopinavir, Retonovir, Oseltamivir along with Chlorphenamine. They are going to suggest same medicine, globally.

- Researchers of the Erasmus Medical Center claim to have found an antibody against coronavirus.

- A 103-year-old Chinese grandmother has made a full recovery from COVID-19 after being treated for 6 days in Wuhan, China.

- Apple reopens all 42 china stores,

- Cleveland Clinic developed a COVID-19 test that gives results in hours, not days.

- Good news from South Korea, where the number of new cases is declining.

- Italy is hit hard, experts say, only because they have the oldest population in Europe.

- Scientists in Israel likely to announce the development of a coronavirus vaccine.

- 3 Maryland coronavirus patients fully recovered; able to return to everyday life.

- A network of Canadian scientists are making excellent progress in Covid-19 research.

- A San Diego biotech company is developing a Covid-19 vaccine in collaboration with Duke University and National University of Singapore.

- Tulsa County's first positive COVID-19 case has recovered. This individual has had two negative tests, which is the indicator of recovery.

- All 7 patients who were getting treated for at Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi have recovered.

- Plasma from newly recovered patients from Covid -19 can treat others infected by Covid-19.e.

*Compiled from Bloomberg news. And the first Filipino Covid Patient was released from hospital today*

Not a put a damper, but the positive news there is mainly China. In related news, New York Times reported that China is expelling NYT, WSJ, and other reporters. South Korea is indeed positive.

The vaccine news are not accurate as NYT also reported that In an ambitious international collaboration, researchers have mapped proteins in the coronavirus and identified 50 drugs to test against it. So far, there is no antiviral drug proven to be effective against the virus. Nor, for that matter, against common cold or mutating flu

And the recoveries mentioned there are statistically insignificant

I once dated a girl who had 4 ferrets as pets. They would hide things behind the sofa. And stand up, hold the rail of the kitchen cupboard door, and fall back, thus opening the door and exposing the bin. She had to put child locks on the door.

Anyway, she was a vegan so it didn't last beyond a few initial dates

I am confident that Kimberly-Clark Corp. will gladly ramp up production.

Once the runs start (pun included free of charge) there’s seemingly just not enough supply chain solutions out there to catch up. The more they stock the more people seem to hoard. The stampede starts with just the hint of a supply threat. Crazy business! Ah well... time to order a bidet (panic buying on bidets to follow in five).

Good morning to all

Here in the USA we are on the other side of the world where all of you have been discussing politics on this thread all night when we don't have moderators, so Tang and Rob,I am here to tell you that you are wrong in your assumption

I am here to tell you that if one more political post is made this thread will be permanently closed.

This thread IMO has come totally out of control and has blossomed quicker than the virus itself
Ok Steve, fair call.

No more politics from me.

. . .

And I think many of them (as with many people in Europe generally, it seems) smoke like fiends, the damage from which seems to make the lungs more vulnerable to the coronavirus.

That could be part of the problem, also the reason that men are at much higher
risk than women. Interesting!
