I think the monkey in Outbreak was creepier than the virus. I don't like monkeys.

I wasn't that interested in seeing this movie, but reading all of your comments, the enthusiasm in here is, well....contagious.

Saw the film this afternoon. It was just OK and perhaps worth seeing but nothing spectacular. A great cast of actors in cameo roles but not enough to redeem the movie. In fact too many unanswered questions at the end in an otherwise very fast moving story presented almost as a docudrama.

My recommendation.....rent Outbreak with Dustin Hoffman which is a very similar story however IMO Outbreak was a better film

Thanks for the review, Steve. I began to have reservations as my wife and daughter are a bit OC about cleanliness and watching this with them might spur OCD. I'd like to watch Outbreak again, forgot that already. And I might just watch this when the DVD comes out, by myself.

I mean it wasn't a movie to diss but the story evolved very quickly with many short scenes trying to tell a very long story. Long and the short of it was a feeling of "I wanted more" at the end. The story was all very predictable and much like the ending in Rise of the Planet Of The Apes where it shows how mankind is made extinct, Contagion at the end shows how the virus started its spread.

For my money, I am going to save on this one and pass on it becoming part of my library.
