Ayre MX-R Twenty vs Pass Labs Xs-150 ? ...... Thoughts ? .......

While I'd love the Pass Xs series combo (Xs preamp and Xs-150 amps), I am not sure I could take the heat. Has anyone heard the new Ayre KX-R Twenty preamp and MX-R Twenty amp together and have any idea how it compares to the Pass combo?

I haven't heard the big XS in a good sounding system.

I did have an extended audition of Ayre gear (not the new version) with Sonus Faber Amati Futuras and it was a VERY good combo. Maybe you and Mike could arrange a shootout!

IMO, you have already had better sounding SS amps in your system to the Ayre - have not heard the Pass

Yes, but not with my Strads. My Pass XA60.5 are wonderful. Xs curious.
