Hello - I've owned the Aurender A30 for a couple of years now, and it has been awesome. I run it through a Luxman C10 preamp and to a Luxman M10 amp, and out to Focal Diablo Evo Speakers and 2 Rel 7 subs. The other night I poured myself a bourbon and puffed a fatty and was ready to settle in to some great tunes. I cued something up - the conductor app showed it was playing as did the lcd panel on the front of the Aurender - I could see the track timing down as if it were definitely playing, but the problem was NO SOUND!!! That was a huge bummer!

I emailed Aurender support, but I haven't heard back yet, only been 24 hours, but I miss my music. I made sure all cables were secure, did a complete reboot, but still - no music. I'm thinking I may have hit or bumped a button in the conductor app, possibly, not sure. Does anyone have an idea what may be wrong here?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Several things popped into my head.

First if you look here at button 5:
You can choose where the sound goes with the Aurender. You want to make sure it goes to the line out RCA/XLR that you have connected to the Luxman preamp and not to headphones. If that’s correctly set and there is no sound, do you have a pair of headphones that you can plug into Aurender to test to see if you can get sound that way? Next, I think Aurender depending on your setting has an independent volume setting so is it possible that you muted the Aurender or lowered the volume of the Aurender accidentally?

On the Luxman preamp end, it would be making sure you have the correct input selected, have the Luxman not muted and volume set correctly. I also see Luxman preamp has this function where you can choose on the remote whether to output to RCA or XLR. I guess if you hit that accidentally, you could have no sound because you’re not sending any signals to the amp? Just make sure you didn’t turn up the volume when you make that switch or else you could blow your speakers.

Same thing happened with my N30 yesterday mid morning. Playlist was playing just fine and suddenly sound stopped. Everything looked okay, unit showed it was still playing, but no sound. Could not get it going rest of the day, but this morning it’s playing fine.
