Hiya all, yes another first from your intrepid user of tweaks.

I've had fantastic results using (and sharing the experiences on this forum of) Stacore, Sablon, Entreq, Westwick, Symposium, Degritter, etc.

Well, I have another to add to the list, and short of going crazy on room treatments, this is likely to be my last dive into the tweaks pool, so happy am I with the sound I'm achieving, I'm really going to stick now, and stop twisting.

So, RevOPods. Well, having got great results w Stacore under my tt and balanced transformer, and Symposium Acoustics Isis racks and Rollerblocks to my other components, my Zus are the last things that needed addressing.

To cut a long story short, I've progressed from stock spikes, to Rollerblocks on Symposium Svelte platforms, back to spikes on Sveltes, and just recently some bespoke Lead footers on Sveltes.

These latter ones were the best yet, but my Zus have always been infuriatingly tricky to optimise re subs integration, and I've always been curious as to whether I could get more.

Esp now w the spkrs sited in my roof space on an 1861 Victorian suspended flexy 35x30 timber floor, w the complexity of downfiring 12" drivers, Class D Hypex amps and Lundahls transformers.

I chanced across the RevOPods on the AE Forum, it seems like Arya have had success getting them under lots of very desirable equipment, spkrs and components.

My next post will describe my early, totally compelling experiences w them. I'm just v happy to bring them to a greater audience.

I did a direct A/B with a competing footers system costing about the same, indeed tried this system first.

The other footers were instantly a hit. More texture, depth, bass warmth. Msybe a little too much bass. But I always think that's like saying a meal is just too appetizing. Not initially a negative.

I really couldn't imagine how the RevOPods were going to better these in any way.

Well, it was instant and not subtle. The RevOPods first showed up the previous footers in being coloured in the bass, too lush, too euphonic.

Then what was apparent was this clarity or air that allowed music to rise and fall naturally.

And lastly a true feeling of neutrality and transparency, where every song was tonally, spatially and timbrally different from the last. The other footers just seemed to impose a little too much, leading to a certain smoothed out homogeneity.

So for the RevOPods to impress well beyond footers that were themselves v impressive, is really saying something.

And at prices that won't break the bank, I couldn't be happier.

Indeed other than a couple of mods to gear, and bedding in of new preamp tubes, the RevOPods seem to have completed a circle for me, enabling me to fully maximise the potential of my Zus, and justify my decade-long love affair (and frequent bust-ups LOL) w the brand.

RevOPods are up there w the epiphany I had auditioning Sablon and Stacore, and that is praise indeed.

And here's a couple of pictures of the Revopods on the Zus. Much smaller than a traditional audiophile footer or giant spike and the fit and finish is exemplary.

CKK, yes, AE Forums have a whole slew of system photos where RevOPods are utilised.

I was truly shocked by step up in performance, no having to look hard, or balance pros and cons, or wait 13 days on roller coaster settling in/burning in.

No, just great out of the box, slam dunk upping the ante.

It's time they were better known this side of Asia.

Hi Spirit.
I’m waiting the black/gold finished one for my Wadax Atlantis Server. I have to demo too a set to both Wadax Arcadia DAC and TAD CR1’s.
Your experience is very interesting because i always have found a less prominent bass on footers like Stillpoints and more linear mid to highs sound.
Arthur is a very friendly guy....
Regards.

Well, the first footers I tried trump the RevOPods re bass in "quantitative" terms, but not in "qualitative" terms.

So, there's more bass w them, but like some other tweaks that I've tried and gotten rid of after time, I truly believe it's an artefact of the footers.

The RevOPods SEEMINGLY have "less" bass, but it's all there, just agile and explosive where needed, not pottering along colouring every track.

Then only instance where the other footers might win out might be a very cold system or room, where the extra layer of bass smoothness might act antidote against extreme stridency.

I found that w other specialist tuning footers highly regarded here, they made the sound in my old terse acoustic really appealing, but were surplus to requirements here in the new, more naturally warm room.

I'll be amazed if you don't fall in love w what the RevOPods achieve for you.

Hi Blue.
What model is that? What improvement has you listened with the Revopods?
Thank you.
I think Marc has the CH120 for his speakers. I wasn’t present when Marc swapped the feet between Stillpoints, Isoacoustics Gaia and Revopods so can’t say what improvements were revealed. Perhaps Marc could delve deaper into his impressions of them.

Stereophinic, the Zu Definitions 4 spkrs.

My issues are multiple -

Spkrs sited on a suspended timber floor built in 1861, over a span of 35x30, with seemingly quite a bit of flex.

The Zus have down firing subs incorporating 350W Class D amps and Lundahls transformers.

So, they have more obstacles than some that the method of spiking can influence.

The RevOPods have been so successful I've been able to bring in my subs output much more prominently w no compromise to mids or treble.

That in itself sells the footers, but in addition to a greater low end foundation, the air, transparency and staging of the spkrs has leapt fwds.

And none of this is subtle, it's the proverbial epiphany moment.

Stereophonic, you've posted my Zu/RevOPods photos on AE Forum.
It looks like I'm in VERY good company. I've invited designer Arthur up here to have a listen, hoping he finds the time.

Hi Spirit.
Thanks for the kind words.
I have great expectations and can’t wait to listen Revopods impact on my system.
Especially under my Tads.
In my opinion, AE is one of the best sources of Hi-End audio.
Regards.

Stereo, knowing what I know, you are in for a massive treat.

I've always struggled to adjust the subs output of my Zus to gain extra bass extension and warmth without losing articulation and timing.

Since installing the RevOPods I've managed a much wider level of potential settings, enabling me to really bring the subs up w no compromise on the main full range drivers and tweeters.

If I say that these have been as radical for my Zus as the Stacore platform has been for my tt, that should tell you how highly I rate the RevOPods, as Stacore has transformed my analog.

And if I was to sum up the RevOPods in one sentence, it's that they really reveal the authentic tonal discrimination in each and every recording, absolutely not imposing any discernable character themselves.

Stereophonic, I'm several weeks into ownership. Not one moment of regret. A truly stellar product that ticks all the boxes you want from a tweak. Truly I believe it adds no character to music, and goes to amazing ends to strip colourations from the gear its installed in.

My Zus are a lot of fun, but by no means in my system could be truthfully described as neutral, revealing and microdynamic. They can now.
