They get so close to the rock faces that I bet some people kill themselves indeed!

So, not only they lose their skis, but some lose their lives too!

Oh well, that's what 'living on the edge' and taking risks is all about right?

I think the helmets are pretty funny. Like if you get too close and dash yourself against the side of the mountain at 100 mph in a nylon suit, the helmet is going to help.

At those speeds, the helmet is merely a psychological reassurance. It might prevent bugs, etc. from bruising your face/head, but that's about it.
