No the most glowing of reviews.Another review dropped on the SmoothLan Regenerator.
I take reviewers as seriously as I take forums. With return privileges you buy, try and if it’s not for you, return. And like any audition it will depend on the components in the chain, evident in this review. No the most glowing of reviews.
Like the SoTM filter cable combo those are passive like the ee1 and smothlan.I see where some of the pricier Ethernet cables include filter-like features that might obviate the need for yet another network box (and cable)? Examples: Shunyata Reference Ethernet cables, WW Platinum Starlight. Anyone compared one of these with using a separate filter product?
Exact opposite here. Shows how subjective reviewers and reviews are, also the kit in the chain. https://the-ear.net/review-hardware/stack-audio-smooth-lan-regenerator/No the most glowing of reviews.
The Ear is the new What HIFI. Anything that smells UK gets raving reviews.Exact opposite here. Shows how subjective reviewers and reviews are, also the kit in the chain. https://the-ear.net/review-hardware/stack-audio-smooth-lan-regenerator/
So you say. As I have had this devise in my system for 4 weeks, I can attest they are right and you're not.....The Ear is the new What HIFI. Anything that smells UK gets raving reviews.
The ethernet cables have noise reduction of a lower order of magnitude, thought they generally have lower potential for negative effects than the filter boxes. One isn't a substitute for the other.I see where some of the pricier Ethernet cables include filter-like features that might obviate the need for yet another network box (and cable)? Had one worked well. Lots of reviews on the interweb. Sold my unit after going Optical. I would save your money and find a Muon Pro on the secondary market.Hoping to hear from owners of the Stack Audio SmoothLAN Regenerator who can speak to its real world strengths and weaknesses.
