About the differences between Nagra HD Preamp and its HV version

Recently,I’m looking for a preamp for the new system in the future,I like the neutral,natural and vivid sound,which is a bit warmer than average but not painted apparently,it seems Nagra HD Preamp will be a good choice(if there's any other choice which is around 70k dollars,it will be honored to get any advise,thanks!),and there's two versions of Nagra HD Preamp which the HV(high voltage?) is newer and a bit more expensive than the older version,and it's still being produced now.

Have anyone listened to the Nagra HD Preamp and know its character,and know the differences between its normal version and HV version?Not considering about the Nagra Reference Preamp since it's too expensive for me.

Nagra systems don't hold their weight in value so I'm always hesitant to recommend them TBH.

You can get same neutral but full bodied presentation with this - McIntosh C12000

Some years ago I was offered a nice system including the Nagra HD preamplifer (not HV) and HD amps. In the end although the price was nice I did not get it because the upgrade to HV was expensive to carry and everyone told me the HV sounded significantly better. It not simple to see if the preamplfier is HV or not - we have to open it and look for the HV labeled board.

I find the value you quote too high - I would expect to find an used Nagra HD at around $30k. And remember if you get it, you will also want a Nagra HD amp soon!

If you cannot determine if it is a HV version, take contact with Nagra. With serial number they can answer. On my side, I have a Nagra HD Preamp, but do not want to change my Pass for Nagra Amp…
