A for Ara Horn Speakers

Has anyone auditioned these? I am planning to go to their workshop in the Catskills to hear them at some point.

No but I am not a fan of the looks.

I do like the looks personally... but I didn't love the dose of attitude I got when I spoke to them. They immediately came out with "only horns with this shape will sound good". If that were true, then every horn would indeed be this shape! Instead, the opposite is true. This personally rubs me the wrong way; but I'm sure others are not as sensitive.
Now maybe they discovered something that improves sound with no downside, so I'll keep an open mind. I still want to hear them and would consider buying.

Not sure what happened.
A for Ara is definitely at a lower price point though.

Jeff is now building other speakers on his own. I highly admire Jeff - he’s one of the best horn speaker and tube amp designers and fabricators in the world.
