Any one have experience with Aric Audio?

1,000+ hours in and I'm still loving it! I've been running Linlai 6sn7s and KT170s. That combo hits the sweet spot for my tastes.

For a few months I was experimenting with tubes in the TRP and in the STR for rectification. The Transcend did a wonderful job of passing along the input. Changing tubes and cables the change was clear and obvious.

Is there any thing specific you are looking for?

Send Aric an email or give him a call he is a straight shooter.

Thanks much for the feedback. I don't have anything specific to ask -- was just curious about your ownership experience so far.

I was thinking about trying a SET amp, but really don't want to deal with many of the tube issues that come with tube-based products. And, as I want an integrated version with remote, Aric said his Transcend would be the best option. He also said that even though Transcend is a PP amp, it doesn't sound like one, especially in the triode mode with zero negative feedback. Love the fact that you said the amp is very quiet.

My brother has Aric Super KT88 120. I haven’t had it in my system yet. He his very happy with it.

My Transcend is in triode strapped mode only with zero feedback.

It's the quietest amp I've ever had. It's spooky quiet.

This is my first amp with 6sn7. In my limited time less than a year of ownership I've found them to be less finicky than the 9 pin noval tubes.

I used Aric 300B PSET - more than year already.
Very good sound and meanwhile - zero problems.
Aric was super professional, passionate and decent person.
By the way I had Atlantic TRP as well... It sounded good -while it worked.......
Went other way - not for my nerves.

Old thread but figured I’d chime in. I’ve had an Aric Audio Custom pset for about 2.5 years now with an Aric Audio 6sn7 Linestage as a preamp. I had Rotel ss, then Synthesis el34 push pull and now class a 300b. Been a learning experience for sure. Each has its own merits. The 300b set sound is great but I felt that it was lacking something. So I was going back and forth as to what to do. Turns out it was the speakers. I’ve replaced some Audio Notes, which have a lovely sound, with much more efficient Volti’s. Now the 300b really makes the speakers sing. I’m going to try a solid state, Pass or First Watt so I can see the difference with the 300b.
