Their speakers are just too mysterious. About the speakers with what units, speakers have any special design, etc., there is no information on the network. Only know that the back of the speaker has a supertweeter.Freaking good sound

Thanks for the reply. Maybe it's because fm's philosophy is that speaker systems should be able to adapt to all environments, which is why there are so many complex componentsWhat would you like to know? I am reasonably familiar with FMA electronics, less so with the speakers & the sub.
Generally speaking, the electronics including the phonos, equalisers, etc, are outstanding. FMA are probably the most satisfying amplifiers I have heard (which reveals my tastes!).
The overall result with the speakers at the Marriott was very good, but I find the speakers, good though they may be, very copious and complicated (you need a collection of amplifiers for the main spkrs, external equaliser / xover, additional amps for the sub...). Compared to the diminutive, practically sized and user-friendly electronics, the speakers look like they were designed for demo, not as much for home use!
YYes. But other than that there is no other introduction on the official website. I've read an interview with the owner of fm acoustics (probably a long time ago), in which he mentioned that he actually studied speakers for a long time, but has been unable to make a really good speaker in mind. Then he suddenly understood how a good speaker should be designed during a sailing trip, and then he went back and engineers developed the current xs-1, 2, 3. He said that the xs-1 (this year's Munich show should be xs-1) is so complex that it can not be mass-produced, a year to make a pair. The xs-2 and 3 seem to be much simpler to make, and the sound quality is not much different from the xs-1.As far as i can read on their website the speakers are part of a complete music system.
Isn't the 2118 a mono amp? IIRC it's ridiculously powerful, hardly the kind of kit we need in our homes -- but I may have misunderstood.I would also like to know if there is a mono rear stage of the model fm 2118? I've googled only a handful of pages that mention the 2019 fm release of the 2118 mono amplifier, and there is no mention of it on fm's official website.
It is a mono amplifier. Only by looking at the parameters I feel that the 2118 is not a new independent model, it just represents two "fm118"Isn't the 2118 a mono amp? IIRC it's ridiculously powerful, hardly the kind of kit we need in our homes -- but I may have misunderstood.
Presumably the claim of 1kW @ 8ohm load is a typo -- we should read 100W @ 8ohm?None of their amps could be ridiculously powerful. Not unless it’s classD. None have large heatsinks. You can’t make power without dissipation. You can’t dissipate after the fact, you won’t get there.
The entire rear 25% of that case is heat sinks by looks of it.
