Thanks for your information. Nice system. I do agree that new speakers would yield further sonic benefits and would be more commensurate with your Audionet in terms of SQ. You might like Giyas, they're phenomenal IMO and also 4 way designs which have inherent benefits in terms of dynamics and effortlessness since each driver covers less frequency range than 3 ways.
Thank you for your suggestion. Giyas are not on my shortlist. Not because of their sound (only heard them once) but because of their design. Zellaton and Acapella are. But for the next few years the kefs will have to do. And I can live with that .

I find that a rather strange "theory".
Then a 5-way would be even better?
Where would the sweet spot be? 12-way?
The more ways you implement, the more problems you get

In terms of as I stated, dynamics and effortlessness, yes. I said nothing about driver integration or lack thereof.

Shakti I have met you a couple of times post Munich over some food.

I was the guy with the French onion tea shirt last time. I say that as you commented on it.

Seriously, you are in a good place for some decent speakers. Avalon don't make them.

Phone up and have a good chat with Graz. He will build you something completely fucked up. You won't believe your ears.

I know saying something like that takes a massive leap of faith. But seriously I have been into hi-fi since I was 5 and I am now 58. My current spec Duettas a few months after a substantial mod are crazy stupid good. Just absolutely outstanding.

Get some high spec custom built Full Range and give Graz a challenge...:)

They will sort you out until you die. Seriously. They will.
thank you for your recommendation!
Following your thoughts, It would mean, that I am looking for the perfect gear to stay with it until I die.

This is a wrong assumption from the beginning.

I love to hear different gear to understand the personal goal of the individual Designer.

For me components like Koda 160 or Boulder 3050 are a peace of art and do not compete.

They are just different and do show the 2 ways of designing the best amplifier the individual Designers can think about.

What a great luck to have the opportunity to listen to the individual Designers understanding of music reproduction.

Currently I am learning the way Audionet is reproducing music, before I was listing to Jeff Rowlands understanding of music.

Both are different in a way, that I learn more from the records I am listening to. This different products do open the window to the music in an different angle. And any angle is right, if you can enjoy and understand the reproduced music.

May be my next set up will be tubes and horn speakers again, time will show.

by the way, this approach makes cartridges the easiest way for me to enjoy music listening.
Without carrying / exchanging tons of heavy gear,
I am able to install different genius designers/manufacturers products and to look from different angles to the same record.

I think Shakti doesn't really have a flat wall where he could place the Dipoles against for at least a symmetric back wall.
So Dipoles most probably won't work in Shakti's room
FWIW I have two rear absorbers that I currently have behind either speaker that are almost the same height as the bass panels.

That's my front wall.

My point is I don't think it matters that much if you are prepared to position an absorber or diffuser of the appropriate size at a distance that seems to work best behind the speaker.

Also, IMHO, you definitely don't want NOTHING behind the speaker and a flat front wall. Causes too much echo.

My preference behind dipoles are Diffusors, then bare hard wall and then absorbers

My preferences might change in different rooms TBH. But that said I have only tried two and the difference has simply been where I have ended up placing the absorbers.

Power cables Furutech nanoflux NCF into and from the Pure Power 6E NCF. Interlink silver/gold custom made and loudspeaker cables Elrod Master Diamond. Interlink next to upgrade Elrod Master Diamond. Hopefully soon.
Have the Elrod Master Diamonds rca interlinks on loan from a friend and I think David Elrod deserves a statue! Amazing.

I wonder how different a Stern / Max combo sounds versus a Stern / Heisenberg combo? Or Stern / Max versus the Humboldt?

Also, I recently purchased the Max mono blocks and besides how absolutely beautiful, bold, realistic and effortless they sound I'm amazed at how ruthlessly discerning my system has become in terms of cable changes.
FWIW I heard the Humboldt and the Stern MAX combo, both driving YG speakers at GTT Audio ( Audionet’s North American Distibutor in New Jersey) and I preferred the Humboldt by a wide margin. I had owned the MAXs for several years prior and have now ordered a Humboldt as well as a result of my visit to GTT.

The Humboldt is mindboggling great. Hard (maybe impossible) to beat no matter how money you are willing to spend. Enjoy!!!

I agree IMO it's the best integrated on the market, heard it several times.

Thanks. Did you notice any difference in dynamics? Also, at what level were you listening? I ask because I read a few disparaging comments about power output at high SPLs and as I'm sure you know the Humboldt is significantly less powerful than Max monoblocks.

Vitus SIA-030 and Gryphon Diablo 300.
In the same system? Side-by-side?
I wonder how the CHP and the Ypsilon and the Pilium integrateds would rank in this surrounding

At a dealer's yes.
The Pilium integrated would be certainly worth a listen, probably up there with the best.
I've heard the CH at a dealer's and the Ypsilon at a show.

Here's my home demo of the Humboldt that took place yesterday.
I was not expecting the Humboldt to handle my Thiels so well, actually much better than my Diablo 300.
It is also much more musical and smooth than the Diablo 300.
The synergy with my Thiel speakers is shockingly good.
We used Tellurium Q Statement SC and IC for this demo.

Great stuff...an extraordinarily consistent set of superlatives for Audionet, in many cases citing its natural and musical flow. Are you keeping the Humboldt? Going Stern/Heisenberg?
