Which player was running ?

There is a memory leak issue in LMS version 8.0 which is fixed in 8.2 which will be included the Beta v2

Ed, excellent question. I “think” it was the batch but I am not 100% sure. I am running with the serial now so I will report back.

It is just weird that I hadn’t experienced this before.

On a positive note, after listening for 3 hours with a couple restarts I can say what I am hearing is very positive. The noise floor is definitely lower and it is resulting in a more relaxed sound, for lack of a better term. There are more layers of quiet detail that are more apparent. I anticipate this is only going to get better and better.

batch stops and locks up if more than ~20 tracks are in the queue, a known issue

I got TAS installed yesterday and have a question about Tidal integration. One of my playlists is 1020 tracks and I regularly add to it. In TAS only 537 tracks show up.

In Roon I've noticed a lag between when I add something in the tidal app to the playlist and when it shows up on my Roon Tidal Playlists. Sometimes this lag is a few hours/day... sometimes it's a week+.

Anyone else run into this problem? I'm guessing TAS will update with all my playlists tracks soon but figured it's worth throwing out there

This is different. I only had 8-10 tracks.

I've really been enjoying music via the Extreme with the new Taiko USB card. In fact, I can't wait until have the chores and must-do items taken care of each day so I can sit down in peace and luxuriate in the incredible music the combo is transmitting to my DAC. So far, four days into the new card (which has been left with files playing 24/7) and it still seems to be getting better and better.

I owe a more detailed report, but besides being a procrastinator I may just be the world's laziest man alive, so I'll quote and slightly edit a piece of what I posted over on @Skanda's Extreme thread:

"I'm a terrible procrastinator, and I owe a more detailed post about what I am hearing over at the other Extreme thread, but briefly I'd say the improvements I'm hearing so far are (not in ranked order) in dynamic range and pop, tonal saturation and low level detail, improvement in noise floor, allowing even better timing and phase accuracy -- depth, width and image precision being the primary beneficiaries -- and the sensation of palpable presence -- the air in my living room seems energized, even at remarkably low volume levels."

In fact, this last phenomenon -- the sensation of life and involvement -- now kicks in at much lower levels than ever before, yet I find I can also turn the level up much higher without feeling the music is overbearing or too much in my face. Both, I think are indicative of digital noise that I wasn't even aware of being eliminated by the new card.

I'll post thumbnails of some of the music I've been enjoying the last few days, and follow up this post with a few more devoted to sharing music. Some of these were recommended right here in our WBF thread.

They just keep on coming:

There are more, but I don't want to music-bomb the Extreme thread too much.

Hope there are some selections folks like.

Thanks for the write up and song recs. I found your comments on pop, saturation, and the air in the room feeling energized to be spot on with my experience so far.

Here is some more stuff I've been loving with the new Taiko USB card. Not everything is necessarily audiophile, but my does it all sound good!

In TAS is there any way to display an album’s resolution on the library view page? That is, when I am browsing for music how does one see what the album’s resolution is?

When I click on the 3 dots I get a 2nd menu which brings me to “album information”. When I click on that I don’t see anything about resolution.
