Well Justin, as they said in the 60s
"Good distortions".

BTW Graz. I won't charge the customer a penny all monies directly to you;):)

I therefore expect the A9s within two weeks. Reasonable I think.

Indeed. And if you followed Ked's advice User *211* would be no more.

Wasn't a good idea to name yourself spirit of Zus either, because one day you will give them up

I dunno but the Pixies are currently sounding ace. As well as Pixies recordings can.

Woefully inadequately ace.

No system. No commitment. No identity.

My drivers cost more than your speakers (more than required to buy scintilla or diva from Henk)
My phono used costs more than your amps and pre used
My dac costs more than your dac.
My cart is better than anything you had when you ran analog
And my LPs cost more than yours.

And price value ratio is higher.

I will put them together slowly because I don't want to end up with a sound like yours.

And I spend much more on concerts and audio travel in a month than you spend in a year

Your system to be is in need of evaluation. Call me on 0627 7382984 when it is done.

Christoph - the MR/TW screens on the A9 is designed to be stronger, and symmetrical front to back. The MR/TW are foil only, the MR is more than 5x as fast as the Scintilla, TW more than 7x as fast as the Scintilla, bass (XLM) actively 2x as fast as the Scintilla, rigidity in excess of 1100x Scintilla in all plains!

Much talk has been made about Scintilla - but somewhere it was lost that my early enthusiasm for that particular speaker (the 1 ohm type) lead to me consulting 15-20 year long term owners of Scintilla for lists of irritations, and my design "Synergy 1.5" that dispelled the list. At 94dB efficiency, higher rigidity in a clam case and higher resistance (2.5 ohms) there was not an area where they didn't beat Scintilla! Here I ran them to full power with a pair of DXT mono 45w amps, a good match. The new Diva A9s beat the Synergy 1.5 substantially in all areas, and they are designed to be an easy load with an astonishingly flat impedance curve.

Justin - your offer/suggestion is seriously/woefully lacking in originality!

When somebody is looking for serious designer equipment, jaded by the dealer-library they end up going to capable designers for their kit. This is true for all parts of the hifi chain. Most dealers can only prepare people for such a journey, many act as gatekeepers from it's completion. The persistent know what they want and transcend...

Graz, do you use neodymium magnets? I wonder what kind of sound and efficiency one could achieve with these.

Different types of speaker designs we make here employ different field designs that use several different magnets. Back in 2004 we did the Definitive full planar and that actually was 100dB/w, comfortable with 17w valve monos, the Diva A9 is happier with higher power, just a little more efficient than the classic v2 Diva...
May I ask how the claim was performed. At what distance was this measured. just asking

Extrapolation, @4m. Planar-dipoles are actually difficult to measure as they differ room to room, and being as close to a line array as possible they need to be measured at a distance greater than forward facing box speakers. Factors such as reflection, furniture, damping (intended/not) cancellation all play a part.

Picked up the Duetta Signatures today, as expected they buzz at higher volumes at certain frequency and the frames have seen better days, they're a nightmare to lug around though....we barely managed to get them upstairs through a spiral staircase.

At least they're usable for now and man do they sound good! I've sent Henk an e-mail to see if he can help me out, I will probably just restore and repaint them, not being crazy about modifications.
