I'm an avid reader of TAS and Stereophile, but much I read about and see here is beyond the scope of those two publications.

Is there a print publication that has better coverage of the type of gear discussed here??

Thanks

I believe WBF is the english language forum with the highest number of large format system owners. It started with big rig guys almost 10 years ago as part of its core membership. As far as speakers go at least, this is the place to read about the models that likely will never be reviewed because they can't physically fit in most reviewers' homes.

Jack, is there another one out there in the world that you know of that does the same thing? Possibly able to be translated in English? Please advise and thank you sir.

Happy holidays to you and yours, BTW. I'm glad to see that you are still actively posting!!!

Hi Tom

Audio Exotics is bi-lingual and has many big systems. The Singaporeans and Malaysians have many but I'm not sure if they are active forumers locally.

In France there is supposed to be a big horn forum but I have not found it.

All I know is that WBF is one of the most open forums I've ever been on. :)

Publishing is too expensive, magazines are getting thinner. Dealing with subscriptions, advertising, schedules and printers requires multiple people and economies of scale.

I like to read paper too. Buying a laser printer and printing online/e-zine articles and reviews may be your best bet nowadays.

Thanks for all the great leads and links. Here is one that I found on my own.

It's an e-zine from the U. K. called Hi Fi Pig. Poor name, but not bad content.

Led by John Atkinson-Wilson, the predominant taste of stereophile reviewers are wilson. Seems like virutaly every stereophile guy uses wilson as a reference. Even Art Dudley likes wilson. One can google the audiophile vocabulary on the stereophile site, and wilson meets all those terms perfectly...

Most TAS reviewers, on the other hand, use magico as their references.

If that is not your taste, and you like true, deep diversity (vs. superficial diversity so many in society are obsessed with today) you need to hit sites like this one. Here guys bring their diverse tastes of boxes, planars, stats, horns, etc. And they also bring their knowledge and experience for you to have a better audio experience.

I will go you one firther. Chpice of reference is also dependent on the willingness to provide a free loaner or industry accomadation price.
Not that there is no bias here. Many members already own the product and have real world experience with it.
