Looking back on some pictures,i stumbled on this one back in 2010, where the (coming from Utah-USA) technician is finishing installing our 5-axis workstation...

The first ever piece that the workstation ever machined, was the first midrange bullet enclosure for the Contendo prototype.I remember when the technician asked: "ok,now what do we machine first?" ,well it was no brainer really . I just could not wait implementing the ideas i had in mind.

In the picture we can see the midrange bullet resting on the workspace, while we are finishing installing the machine cage... September 2010.Nice memories

So I have a wonderful update to share with the forum:

The Mount Everest of SET amplifiers "The Achilleas" will be debuting at Munich this year thanks to the patience and generosity of Mr Billygxx. For him to allow the world to hear the Achilleas knowing they are ready for delivery for his personal system is a very incredible gesture. I encourage all of you to make it this year to Munich to hear what they can do.

An update on the room situation is the ceiling is in need of some correction, but it looks like it will be finished sometime towards the end of this month fingers crossed.

Home stretch. The ceiling and the flooring are installed. Need to get the new racks, table and glass acoustic treatments to help quiet the front wall reflections. However, I did the hand clap test across the room and the acoustics are much more tame so it should be pretty sensational using the Asian panels as a go between.

Wow, a friend of mine mentioned today that my under construction Aires-Cerat system was in the WBF. Ironically, I have been on this forum a LOT, following the turntable blogs in planning an uber table worthy of this system. Joshua had given me an opportunity to audition the Incito Preamp and Kassandra last year. I was able to directly compare the Aires-Cerat Kassandra to Vivaldi 2.0 DCS stack running with a prototype amp and Voxativ Dues speakers. I found myself turning up the volume on the DCS to hear the hyper etched detail-for about 10 minutes. Then returning to the Kassandra for hours on end. A friend of mine in the industry managed to tune the system to the extent that 2 famous tracts played through the Kassandra were the best he had ever heard. And he has heard or owned practically everything. This system when, when complete, will trounce that one. I am not speculating, I simply know that to be true. I feel very blessed to be able to experience, let alone own a system of this caliber.

Hi Billy are you coming over at the Munich show next week ?

Indeed, though Billy went to see Stavros recently in CY (am came away amazed). Looking forward to the show, seeing the guys. AC clients and dealers all mingle into a kind of weird party atmosphere, it is cool. And that was last year without an Aries Cert room. Should be a blast.....

That is the Primary Control flagship FCL (field coil loaded) Tonearm. You can, however, have the wood finish options on the Reference arms and up the line
