I don't watch the news much because generally they are the kind of news that are sad, pathetic, terrible, awful, violent, corrupted, disgusting, ...news that attract most people in search of thrills that they don't have in their own normal lives. So by checking other people's news by media who love to provide their own bias and calculated effects so that they generate maximum audience for top $$$ profits, we become zombies, we lose our identities and we live through what others want to impose us from other people's own lifestyles.
We love comparing ourselves with other's, rich and poor, judge others that don't fit our own line of thinking and life's habits. It's human nature, it's normal, and they don't teach that stuff @ our universities. Or unless you take human sociology and psychology and psychiatry. But usually we take courses on cosmos to become astronauts, scientists, engineers, lawyers, judges, police officers, teachers, farmers, builders, hotel managers, brokers, TV announcers, actors, insurance salesmen. ...Etc.
So the less news I put in my brain the more I live my own life and do the things I enjoy doing. Like mountains walking and climbing, music playing, driving the countryside, eating new cuisine, watching the wildlife, being connected, grounded with the earth and its true essence...relationships with everyone, everything that provide peace and happiness.
This is just a short intro to what I'm just about to share. It's free, no one is forcing you to read any of the written words. There is no bad words, no bad things in here; all is very very good. What we see @ the movies we're free to share our impressions, just like the music we listen to and the type of display we use to screen and the medium we use...DVDs, tapes, Blu-rays, etc. We as a human race evolve. With new technologies we adapt to the world of the computers and Ethernet. Our TVs are getting larger than life and our music is in our homes often better than live. We let our toys take over, we let them direct us like robots; perhaps we don't realize it but it's true if you only take a short moment to think about it.
We elevate ourselves and diminish others; we really do, most people. It's normal, the world doesn't stop spinning and it doesn't have the time to adjust, fine tune the spinning revolutions. ...Like the fast speed of snow and ice melting caused by warmer oceans. No big deal, there are other things much more precipitated/urgent than that, like a master degree in architecture. It's just an example.
There are tribes yet undiscovered in unknown/unexplored jungles and forests of our planet. Yet we're looking for other planets of our galaxy to see if there are other human intelligence living up there... It's normal, we look outside more than inside; it's a natural human thing. And it's nicer to look far away than too close.
Sure, I could have done without my film's introduction, and all would be swell. I'm a writer, a film watcher, a communicator, a people from the earth, a human; and I do have what everyone's else has...a uniqueness in my DNA. :b So, without any further delay, here's what I saw last night on my screen @ home from a Blu-ray disc:
I don't know if you read or heard about it; it don't really matter because you're about to find out just now.
Wow, what a great film, a breath of fresh air, a smart perspective, an outlook on the outdoors, an inside stretch, an open insight on some of the things we think but don't do...
We all have our own family values, and we grow up with them, and follow them. We go to school and learn from the teachers and their teachings. We don't question, we execute to be educated and have a career, have a family and be happy. It's normal, it's what every human being is aspiring to. ...And the exact same for this family here.
I've read not long ago one guy saying that when you are cremated your ashes shouldn't be kept inside an urn and exposed @ home or spread into the ocean or winds...
I don't know that guy, I've never met him. But in that movie it's interesting...that very subject. I won't tell what happened but I loved it! You have to see that film. If you are going to watch only two movies in the next couple months, include this one in. I guarantee, you won't regret.
An eccentric father raises his six children in a remote forest in the Pacific Northwest. But when a family tragedy prompts them to take a road trip to New Mexico, the kids are forced to interact with the outside world for the first time.
My overall own personal value score: 87
It's a real cool family, it's funny, it's touching, it's liberating, entertaining, reflecting of our own set of life's values...
Starring:
Viggo Mortensen
Frank Langella
Kathryn Hahn
Steve Zahn
It's less than two hours, with the rolling credits @ the end, and it didn't make over a billion dollar @ the box office.
Box office: $7.7 million
Last word: There is magic in the air around us all. Have a good time breathing it...watch that flick.
