Near Atlanta, GA but not too near!
Many (most?) of us have been guilty of texting or reading emails or .... while driving. Or your children have.

This is tough to watch but worth it. Made a huge impact on me. Hope it does on you as well. Make your kids watch it. Save a life or two or more ......

If it is the same one I watched recently, I can't stomach watching it again. It was incredibly powerful.

Texting while driving.. I was a victim of that on Nov 24 2007. A woman rear-ended me with her SUV, while I sat in traffic waiting for a red light. The impact was such that the radio/CD player in the dash was ripped out and wound up on the armrest, stopped by the cable harness which tethered it. My seat was ripped off its track on the floor. I went to the hospital and spent 4 months in physical therapy.

Want to hear the sad part? This was the FIFTH TIME I have been rear-ended while sitting at a red light. The others weren't nearly so severe, thankfully. Needless to say, I have a real phobia of driving anywhere there are stoplights and other cars!

The problem, I think, is that the law doesn't treat this seriously enough. It should be treated like reckless driving, or worse. If a phone is turned on in a running vehicle without a wireless headset in use a license should be suspended, period. Then it would stop.

I know that in most provinces in Canada it's illegal to drive and use a cell (hand-held, not hands-free)...never mind texting.

Agreed!! Tim for President !!

A wireless headset will do nothing to stop texting while driving in my opinion.
