Breaking the $100k barrier - A new statement Loudspeaker for $50k

Here's a recent photo of my partner DVS installing a set of our American-built Foundation bass amplifiers in Greg Weaver's Ultra 9 speakers. We have done about six upgrades this year, and the results have been even better than expected.

They say if you love my dog, you love me:) Nice work all the way around, D!

You can’t fool dogs! They know a good person when they see one. :)

That's probably one of the biggest understatements I have read in a while....

If you are an Ultra 9 or 11 owner and have NOT done the upgrade, DO IT IMMEDIATELY!!!

Good morning from Capital Audio Festival room # 850.

This year, we are showing with our new dealer in the DC market, Alma Audio, located in Sterling, VA. Joining us in the room is Vinnie Rossi electronics, the mighty MSB Cascade DAC, and a sweet vinyl spinner from Thales. A full suite of our MasterBuilt Audio Ultra cables ties the system together for an excellent presentation. Our thanks to Alex and Fabio, partners of Alma Audio, for hosting the room and for their commitment to presenting Von Schweikert at this important annual event.

A shout-out also goes to our newest product, Foundation.ten subwoofers set up in room correction mode to help manage some nasty nodes exaggerated by the room's square dimensions and the VR.thirties' powerful bass.

I had to replace the subwoofer amps on my VR9-SE Mkii speakers. One of the amps died, the other one was starting to go too. Damon was able to get Foundation Hybrid 800 watt replacement amps and faceplates for the speakers. The fit was perfect. Replacement was straightforward, just required removing a lot of screws. Soldered in the connections for the new amps and put the new faceplates on.

The sound is improved overall. I was just hoping to get the original sound back. Never expected such an improvement!

Gotta love it when you can improve on a speaker I have had for over a dozen years.

Damon is the best! Wishing you many years of further enjoyment of your VS speakers. I sure do love mine.

TY, Buddy!

Damon is the truly the Room Whisperer! Next time we are down south we must come visit. Here he is pictured here with our old friend Marc Phillips from PTA. That's Vinnie Rossi in the background.

A few folks have asked about the price for the new Foundation.ten sub-woofers. They are priced at $13,500 each and nearly half the price of their bigger brothers but don't leave much performance on the table, not to mention the much smaller package. If you're looking to take your system to the next level with pressure wave room correction no matter the speaker give us a call to discuss your application.

...man, I gotta hear those 9s and 7s some day, because the VR5s at 85K or thereabouts, are killer over here.

I know 7s and 9s are over the thread-title 100K mark, but the 5s are in the ballpark, and suitable for the 100K research list of target speakers.

Y'all come on down for a listen!

These are the VR9SE Mkii and I love them. No plans to upgrade to Ultra 9s. I really like the drivers in my version of the speakers.

You might be able to find a used or traded pair and have it upgraded and stay under $100K.

All, our Design Director, John Heins, has a new AI software toy he is having a blast with. Here's one image below. Why does this matter? It allows us to see our latest designs in situ and, more importantly, let our customers view our products in an environment similar to their own. Anyway, we are having fun with it and wanted to share some early works using this exciting new tool.
