I have a new YouTube channel and am doing a series of videos about a new type of 'stat panel that solves some of the issues inherent with 'stats, so much that Ralph Karsten of Atma-sphere called them the "the holy grail of electrostats.'

Please consider subscribing if you like learning about this type of planar speaker, as I only have 25 subscribers!

Who is Ralph Karsten …?
I assume you're joking, right? If not, Ralph was among a handful of people important in the design and/or promotion of OTL amplifiers, along with Julius Futterman, Harvey Rosenberg, George Kaye, Jon Syder, and Ted Hammond. Probably others I'm forgetting. Harvey was the only one I personally ever ran into, back in my high end audio retail days. Nearly all of these guys have passed away, except maybe Ralph.

Given the synergy between some OTL amps with certain electrostatic loudspeakers, Ralph's opinion on this matter would be considered learned

What is the brand name?
The company is Popori Acoustics - In another video in the series I'll explain how they came to develop the technology.

Maybe it was a joke? In another segment I mention about Ralph and his background and expertise. It’s just the video I recorded came out to close to 20 minutes and I decided to cut it down into smaller segments.

It is irritating that you broke the video up into segments. Especially since the other videos aren't posted yet.

Than you should add the company name to the thread tittle. And IMO post a single video with a clear presentation sentence.

For historical reasons Ralph name is associated with Soundlab electrostatics for many of us.

I agree with the last two posts.

Hey thanks everyone for the input and watching. I did record about 20 minutes of information then felt it was getting too long and cut it down. I'll be doing more videos even before i get to listening impressions, which is going to take me a bit since I'm still getting a handle on placement and also the the foam damper which insert into the rear of the speakers, where you can tune the speaker to your room depending where you place them and how many.

I think your doing a very professional and clean job. I can see breaking the segments up for marketing. Keep them coming back.

I hear thats a good speaker. Didn't Audiophile Junkie rave over it, then become a dealer?

What about you. Are you looking to deal or just be an influencer?

Jon Syder is an old friend of mine--he's still around.

Here’s an amusing video about those speakers :)

I feel bad for the guy’s wife who has to put up with this in her living room. She does not seem too happy about it.
That's The Audiophile Junkie and his best friend. looks like he got Doug a set. Note they are using BACCH to operate the speaker in a less than desirable location.

I don't see it as any more ugly than any other Audiophile speaker. Most speakers are very large today. My wife thinks Wilson are horrible looking. Doug's other speaker is an MBL. A smaller one. One sub and the single medium Radhal on top. I doubt his wife likes that either.

Is this yet another actual or potential conflict of interest, and undisclosed financial or component possession arrangement, by someone on YouTube?

I have no opinion about the speaker, I just thought it was amusing…
