Your All Time Favorite Preamplifiers?

Lyra Connoisseur 4.3
Robert Koda 15ex
Trinity Ref
Well, I know one of these! I have always read good things about the Lyra Connoisseur 4.3 and remember reading about the Trinity when it first came out. And the Robert Koda has a special place here in the system.

The Lyra, particularly the phonostage, was exceptional.

Interesting...have always respected your ear and listening notes, so yours is another strong positive datapoint on the Lyra.

Why would a linestage preamplifier (or source component with passive attenuator) need to drive a 600 ohm load?
I explained that earlier.
I made an error earlier, the MSB Reference DAC has a constant output impedance of 150 ohms with as much as 3.57 volts from digital sources or 12 volts from analog sources which see a 100k ohm input impedance. My Jeff Rowland Cadence provides 64 or 74 dB of gain and I run a 0.5 mV MC cartridge. That is well short of 1 volt and my 26 dB gain amplifiers (used in an active triamplified configuration) drive their respective speaker drivers to very loud levels with extremely low distortion and I am not even close to running the passive attenuators wide open.
The setting of the volume control has nothing to do with what I'm talking about.

Preventing interconnect cable coloration is.

MSB Technology’s own amplifiers have selectable input impedances of 75 ohms, 300 ohms and 1.2k ohms. All easily driven directly by MSB’s own DACs with their constant impedance resistor attenuator. No active linestage preamp necessary.

So you re posting in the wrong thread then, this is about our favourite pre amplifiers .

Correction:
I’m really impressed by the Soulution 727, and likely getting it before year-end 2025.

I would have thought that the title “All time favourite” sort of suggests that it is extant, and has been.
Not vapourware, some new (pre)release, etc..
I believe the Soulution 727 actually is out in the marketplace. In fact, both Marty and JohnT here both own it already. I wonder if QuadDiffuser is actually planning on getting it himself before year-end 2025?

I dunno…

There are more than a few pre-amps that I would pull over to the side of the road to pick up… should they inadvertently fall off of the back of a truck.

Both Lyra preamp and phono stage sound great. I believe pre was Connoisseur 4.2.

They have a sweet sound without being edgy or harsh. As far as I remember Lyra phono doesn’t offer any adjustments. Great products!
