Kondo / Audio Note Ongaku Japan

Looks great but feet are replaced/not original. It's a minor detail though.
I read somewhere that for the SE the feet were replaced by stillpoints feet.

Not true. Using Stillpoints is not something that Kondo would do IMO. It is certainly done afterwards by the owner.

Totally agree: the tonality of the (stainless steel) Stillpoints is imho not a good match (or if you wish: not compatible) with the Kondo purity.

I wonder if you’d hear it but one thing is certain… why do it at all?

I experienced with various footers and I am currently using RevOpods under both my G-1000i and Gakuoh mk ii amps. Clearly prefer the Revopods to the standard Kondo footers, while the RevOpods do not have the stainless steel signature of the Stillpoints.

You are a lucky guy :)

Few days ago I had a privilege to listen an unusually spectacular system in a private listening room in Slovenia, although I had the opportunity to listen to systems of a similar category a few times, this one left perhaps the best impression on me.
The sound is difficult to describe because it is so natural, dynamic, colourless, full of detail, the stage was holographic, the presence of the musicians in the room is astonishing, 3 hours flew by like 5 minutes.
The system consists of a Vertere turntable, a Kondo Audio note JP M10 preamplifier, an Audio note UK CD player and Kegon amplifiers that drive high and midrange, ELECTROCOMPANIET bass amplifiers, Soulsonic Natural sound Samurai speakers, designed and built by Miro Krajnc, wiring entirely Marohei-cables by Maro Filicic, on the other side of the couch there are two large subwoofers driven by AB-class amps, which are not on the pictures.
The system has been carefully built over the years and most of the listed components have been further improved. The owner has several thousand LPs and CDs, most of them are in the next room and they are impressive as the system.

An interesting video about Herb
I used to own one of those "un-named" amplifiers: it's the Audio Note Neiro and I got it in late 1993.
Available in both copper and silver editions (pertaining to the type of wire used to wind the output transformers and the signal capacitors) at the time it used to run parallel single ended 2A3s and had the same tube compliment as the Ongaku in the pre-amp section, a.k.a. 6072A/12AY7 & 5687 plus one 5U4 for rectification.
It was an amazing amplifier for sure...
It is pictured below along with the Wadia 6 (in a photo of a photo...) with some free decor...(courtesy of my wife...):).
