Ron, still interested in a response to my question regarding the phono setup (particularly the cartridge and phono preamp). ThanksThank you for posting these videos, gentlemen!
Acoustic Signature MCX-3Hey @Ron Resnick, love the vinyl. What is the cartridge/tonearm/phono pre (WestminsterLab phono card in the Quest?) setup? Thanks
It was unanimous that the sound was better at the show than I am getting at home. At home the upper bass to lower midrange is not as fleshed out as it was at T.H.E. Show.Seems like you had good sound Ron , how does the sound differ when compared to your home ..?

Maybe the Pendragon ribbon panels are vibrating sympathetically? Maybe 27' x 33' is just a good room dimension?
theoretically possiblePerhaps it’s the amplifier choices
I alone set-up the speakers in both situations. At T.H.E. Show nobody touched the speakers but me.or set up.
noThat Denon DP100 is quite a legendary turntable. Who did the tonearm setup? Perhaps it is superior.
noHave you listened to your speakers with all Pendragon panels removed from your room?
My friend Bob was there. I asked about the bass and he noted there were 2 subwoofers. Of course that will change the lower frequency performance. There were two Von Schweikert subwoofers in the back of the room at T.H.E. Show. That is a major difference from my understanding of the setup of Ron’s room at home (based on what I have read on WBF as I have not been in Ron’s room). Those subs would have a major influence on upper bass and lower midrange and could be a significant contributor to the improved sound.
These were used only for room correction. They subtracted bass; they did not augment it.There were two Von Schweikert subwoofers in the back of the room at T.H.E. Show. WestminsterLab REIs in bridged mode (two pairs)

Poor setup with too much forward projection, Typical loudmouth horn with poor scaling , the Clarysis was more textured and scaled better ..Thanks. Rimsky Korsakov’s dance played on an Oppo here, one woofer Altec
IMO , poor amplification vs the show SS and room /phase issues at home. The source components at home or at the show are more than capable of pulling off good sound..Ron, what do you think accounts for what people think was a better sound at the show? Most people discount show conditions as having bad rooms and bad power. You’re saying it had nothing to do with the vinyl source. You say it’s theoretically possible the amplifiers make the difference or having the Pendragon panels in the room, or perhaps the room dimensions.
I’m still curious about that turntable used at the show. Did you borrow that from a friend and who did the set up?
