I was in the room while the guy played along live with the music, interesting.

That guy always does that—playing live along with the music. His name is Vincent Bélanger, and most likely, the music playing through the setup is one of his albums. He often performs on Anne Bisson’s recordings.

There is a double Lp recording of his from AN label.

Thanks for your pictures.
(If you could write in TEXT the names of the brands, as Andro does, it would become possible for the Search function of WBF to find your posts and pics back; I'm aware it is a little work too...)

Harbeth is typically the kind of affordable product that can be easily overlooked on such a show.

How did sound that room?
Which speakers model was playing when you were in? The new M30.3 XD2 (passive), or the new, smaller, NL1 (active) ?

I see a Mitchell turntable with a Billie Holiday sleeve. And Manley electronics (tubes?! Alan Shaw, Harbeth's designer, will have a heart attack...)

Thanks!

Wilson / Constellation .

Sounds good /nice combo

The best so far at MOC
It seems to be the new Wattt & Puppy.
Do you confirm?

I will discover them at a dealer next weekend (with D'Agostino Momentum integrated, Thrax turntable and the Chinese high-end Matrix streamer and DAC)

Chord peak consult .
How would you describe the Peak Consult sound produced by that 3-ways?
(+ passive radiator at the back, if I remember correctly)

Normally, I have taken the picture with the name of the brand.
I don't how I can modify the post including my photos.

Don't try to update your posts, keep it simple.
Just type the NAME of the brand inside the message of your forthcoming posts (just before the picture upload)
(or you dictate it to your smartphone, but it will not recognise hifi brands alas...)

Thanks!

View attachment 150593Super pleasant surprise!! The Soundspace Systems new speaker was transparent, alive , spacious, dynamic and lovely instrumental tone. It uses a Supravox wideband driver with no crossover and an AMT with a simple first order crossover. Bass was active with opposite side firing divers. The back of the mid/high section was open baffle with another tweeter rear firing upward at a 30 degree angle. 96dB, so will work with a wide range of amps. Amp used was a small Vitus integrated and an AMG turntable with new AMG phonostage. Speaker was 32K euro and was one of the best values I have heard so far at the show.
The Soundspace Systems: origin?

The ingredients here are really exciting.
(thanks for sharing this uncommon and sensible design, and not a 17th Wilson gallery ;-)

Is the front AMT tweeter then an open dipole AMT tweeter, radiating towards the back too? (or is it just the Supravox midrange?)

Regarding the active bass driver on the side, what is approximately the diameter?
Do we know the frequency range?

Please can other members cross-check these with a few pictures of the back (what about connections for that active bass?) and sides. On CLASSICAL MUSIC if possible please.

Many thanks!!,

Regarding Stenheim, rooms A 4.2 & F213 (picture in attachment post#103, from @sonrock )

Could someone please shortly describe what was demoed, and with which electronics? Thanks !

The pic shows 2 pairs of speakers side by side:
-Reference Ultime Two,
-Alumine Two (SE ?) + subwoofer (the sub is new!): how did this sound, with the sub?

Stenheim has a second room, it seems. Do they play only vinyl over there, like last year?
Which speaker & electronics do they use there?

Thanks.
Regarding Stenheim, rooms A 4.2 & F213,

I see there are two rooms:
1. One with two pairs of speakers side by side:
-Reference Ultime Two SX
-Alumine Two (SE ?) + subwoofer (the sub is new!): how did this sound, with the sub?
Could members document this a bit?
(not so sound-quality-wise, we know Stenheim are stellar speakers, but more factually; your subjective opinion over the demo is welcome though of course)

2. A second room, where there is a Stenheim-galore (3 or 4 pairs), powered by Mastersound tube amplifiers. On a video uploaded by Audiophile Junkie, this room seemed to sound more reverberant (not so convincing through headphones).

Thanks!!
