Sunny, WBF has an excellent classified section for this purpose. Just saying:)

Unless I missed it, I would enjoy reading an update from @JasperJ

In the Pass product range, you could consider the FirstWatt series. There are newer models out with more power, The Pass Labs SIT-4, for example, (Static Induction Transistor (SIT) technology) puts out a modest 12 wpc into 8 olms. Has both XLR and RCA imputs. These are listed for $5,000 for each mono-block. SQ is quite high for a modest price. I quote: "the SIT-4 is not about sheer wattage; it’s about precision, detail, and a deeply engaging listening experience. This low-power design makes it an ideal match for high-efficiency speakers, ensuring that every note is delivered with clarity and finesse." NOTE: for high efficiency speakers.
There's also a FirstWatt 5 but I am not sure about pricing and availability. Happy hunting and listening.

2 Pairs of Modwright KW99 monoblocks will cost about $18k.., total,
Bi-amp will also be a good choice..
A Single pair for 9 grand.

Valvet is mentioned, A4e 65w I think that is a super choice.
Note: the ones made after July 2023 with uprated power transformers Are the ones to go for..,
Clout? 65w supported by close to 200000 of capacitance per monoblock.
They are what 11-12k dollarsis a pair?
Can be ordered with bi-wire termination..

4 15 ich woofer will need current, and lots of it.
So amps with high current output will slay other alternatives, especially at lower and very high Playback.
So, how loud do you need to play?

Not really in your price range, but if you could swing it my Jeff Rowland 925 amps are for sale at $36000. Incredible works of art that never run hot and have tremendous power!

That depends on the speaker! My speakers have dual 15" woofers and no problem driving them will lower power amps with high output impedance at all.
OTL FTW

I guess a S-30 3.3 fully tricked out will go for just shy of 9 grand..8980 to be exact.
Or A pair of M60 3.3 (15660) fully maxed out.
I’m guessing you Are referring to it.. or them?

Yes, I will believe that.

No, I have a Dynaco ST35 (17.5 Watts/channel) that can handle those speakers with ease.

Multiple drivers and their size has nothing to do with how much current you need other than whether the drivers are in series or parallel. Then it comes down to how much power is needed to produce satisfying sound pressure. Even if you had four 8 Ohm drivers in parallel (2 Ohms), to drive them with 100 Watts is only 3.5 Amps...

Yes. Tube power is awesome.
A budget of 18k.

One certainly does not need to spend it all.
I know of a person that bought one of those little ST35s and had a technician sort it out. It replaced a pair of SETs in his system. He sounds very happy with it and doesn't seem to feel any reason to miss his SETs. Little push pull amps like that really threaten SETs. The only problem is that quite often such amps are not executed nearly as well as they deserve, given that a pair of 7 Watt SETs can set you back over $10K.

I find that very odd especially in these days where high efficiency speakers are much easier to find than they were 30 years ago.

Is it possible that you’re miscalculating? AFAIK at least 7A is required to drive a 2ohms speaker at 100 watts. P=IxV

The SIT-4 is terrific and in current production but no XLR option.

Jasper, I'm late to the party so if you're still searching I'll cast a vote for my PASS X260.8's. I couldn't be happier, they're driving a pair of Revel Studio 2's
I have these Pass mono blocks also.

Beautiful sound . . . almost like tubes. But no tube maintenance, biasing, degradation, or costs.

Unflappable. Mine have never pushed the needles out of Class A.
They do get warm, but not hot. (For me the temp has never been an issue.)
