Sorry, but those speakers remind mind of the beautiful girl I knew in high school, who had a big pimple on her forehead.

Good morning all,

Thf99 thank you for sharing your system which appears to be outstanding and that great recording by Alison Krauss. I am not familiar with this wonderful voice. Initially, I thought it was Joan Baez. I am so happy to learn about Miss Krauss. I will go right to Amazon and purchase the recording.

Sonus Faber Stradivari on the latest McIntosh amps at Magnolia HiFi in Seattle
B&W's flagship Nautilus speakers at Echo Audio in Portland, OR (dont recall the electronics in play, but they were quite substantial)

the best personal system i've heard was a friends Infinity IRS Gamma/Delta speakers driven with Yamaha's Centennial Edition (MX-10000 amp, CX-10000 pre, CDX-10000 cdp)

I have read that combination is exceptional, and many SF Strad owners run this combination. I have spoken with a few over time who have not changed that i am aware of in several years. Right wrong or indifferent on all the various audiophile technicals, i am always intrigued by certain brands where their owners seem not to change so much. Shindo, Zanden, FMA, and McIntosh among others without doubt. I am told Eric Clapton's home system has been McIntosh for years by one of the dealers here.
