He surely did. They went around the city, ate some lobsters and clam chowder and said he'll say hi to Danny A. for me. He also visited Madison but Phil Jackson couldn't be found.

I will be rooting for at least one Laker this year - their new point guard from Ohio State, D'Angelo Russell.

It just seems the fans are becoming dissuaded with all of his problems

If he puts in a good season, all will be forgotten. It's mostly alot of media noise IMO. My sense is that he's in a personal funk about not playing and that's coming out in public comments along the lines of basketball not being so important, etc.; makes it easier for him to handle the frustration.

Going to Chicago with my family in Nov., we'll be at the OKC game; really hope he's playing.

They're talking about back to practice in two weeks btw.

Rose is too fragile. If it were my call, I'd let Rose go and find another guard. Seems to be hurt all the time.

Isn't he also facing a rape claim by an ex-girlfriend?

Great player when healthy and mentally prepared to pay. Too many ongoing problems to deal with.

I think that's up to him. It was mentioned that Rip Hamilton and some others wore theirs long after they needed to.

Pre season starts tomorrow! This is going to be one very interesting season. Spurs are a super team on paper. Can the Warriors repeat? The Clippers are deeper now. Tristan Thompson so far has no signed on for the Cavs. Celtics and the Lakers should fare better than last year. Rose's injuries are still nagging him, and does anyone still remember a guy named Melo?

Mitch actually signed him to a 1 year minimum deal but there's no guarantee he'll be on the roster come opening day.
