This new model called DSP-09EX is the overseas version of DSP-Carina.
It comes with a dedicated clock called PMC-09EX with same case size.
DSP-07EX was already a one case transport and DAC including ZeroLink introduced some years ago.
DSP-07EX is the overseas version of DSP-Corvus.

Did you directly compare 09EX to 07EX?

The DSP-09EX is less detailed and has a more relaxed presentation. The DSP-07EX in comparison is more extroverted. Even if both 09 and 07 have external clocks (in option), I would say that it has a more important impact on the 07 than with the 09. The 07 is a more opened solution to new Ethernet connection since it has a SFP port that you can use with a fiber media converter. The DSP-09EX can only be connected via RJ45. Using a FMC (fiber media converter) with the DSP-07EX and fiber cable brings lots more details and a more natural sound. I personally have a DSP-05EX and using fiber turned the digital to another dimension, every aspect of the music benefited from it !
