What's Your Favorite Single Malt Scotch

Sir you are welcome,

True for both bottles however I believe the premium charge at their time of release was well worth it.

The Lagavulin was £125 compared to standard bottlings at say £55. The Springbank was £450 at the time.

Most of the current distiller's offerings are superb.

Kindest regards,G.

The Mcphail Ardbeg is also fabulous.

Next 'bank release is November, the shoulder starts on the glorious twelfth and finishes then, one month after pheasant.

Before you ask, "side by side" no ground bait.

Kindest regards,G.

The Love is for the Port Ellen and the Rosebank in particular.

Great taste in truly great drams.

Chocks away.
Hugely so! If I were serious about bidding over £820 for the Springbank...I would go £1000 and step up to the 30-year Port Ellens for sure.

Interesting and good to know. The Supernova and Alligator series have been really fantastic...had 2 bottlings of the former and 1 of the latter.

Yes Sir,

I would describe as an under sought gem.

Kindest regards, G.
If you wish to get it, I will not stand in your way. Meanwhile, I am registering for the other site...and keeping my eye on the 2 Springbanks.

I have simple tastes: Laphroaig 10 is my standby, and I always have a bottle on hand. Yes, it's in-your-face peaty, but it's incredibly consistent and is a well-known old friend to me.
That said, my nephew just returned from a Scottish distillery tour and brought me back some sample bottles. While all were enjoyable, the Longrow 21 finished in bourbon barrels was complex, subtle, accessible, and engaging all at the same time, and I'd love to keep a bottle around if it weren't for its $600 price tag!

No commercial affiliation with any sites I posted for the chap who is on his last knockings.

Kindest regards, G.
Just picked up an Ardberg 14-yr Unicorn for 30% less than RRP and a Longrow 18-yr for an even bigger discount than what I could find elsewhere. Thanks for the tip! Lets see if they deliver as promised! Site seems well regarded.
