Very interesting. This was released on vinyl in 1985 after being recorded the previous July, 1984 - Christopher Raeburn produced and John Dunkerley engineered. I am quite certain that it was recorded on Decca's own digital system which was 48/16. So the 192/24 digital transfer (it looks like that was done in 2014 according to my data source) would have been an upsampling of the original. I found the Most Wanted Recitals on the internet and it looks like they are mostly from analogue original tapes done at 192/24 - I have quite a few of them in original vinyl. However, I find it a bit strange that the digital originals like this album were done at higher resolution. Not sure what is gained.
