Israeli bass player, very cool modern jazz with more than a few middle eastern/oriental touches. Recording quality is excellent, and there's even a solo bass track that's good for demo/system evaluation purposes Unfortunately, 16.44k only
A local place here. They're from a private collection of a guy that passed. There's more stuff but I'm not sure if any of it is good or worth meddling with. I'm considering letting something go out of the haul. I need to have a listen before I decided. My understanding is the Missa Brevis and Ars Musica are particularly rare, and rather desired among classical collectors of audiophile quality. The rest of the classical there I didn't go through 100% of it. There was an Arvo Part album but there's a reissue of it out that's a better option as a 2lp instead of 1lp for example. I may go back and refer to the master list, or make an offer on the lot of unpriced classical. If I do I may have an online sale since I won't be a fan of all of it (well, if anything in it is worth the time).
Sorry guys, no luck. I tried to buy the lot but they decided it was worth their time to price it all out after I grabbed a few. They made less money selling me a couple than if I would've bought them all. The reason? They price stuff off of what sold on eBay, which doesn't account for current sale prices on AcousticSounds, Amazon, or Discogs.
If I have a chance at another lot of good stuff I'll try to get it to sell for beans on here. But as you know it's rare.
All the ones with red outsides are EMI's from France 'La Voix De Son Maitre' . Condition appears new/mint on all. Sorry the pictures are not very good, the lighting is abysmal and nothing can change that besides installing a bunch of skylights.
Managed to source an original pressing in Mint condition.......It's really a great LP. Charlie Musselwhite is something else...and Doug isn't too shabby either. The SQ of this LP is pretty close to reference quality IMHO.
