Which is best for Holographic soundstage?

Hi. I have been a long time Kharma exqusite midi 3.0 user with all CH electronics. I decided to sheink system a bit and sold them all. Now i have a Goldmund Telos 690 integrated with Alare Remiga 1 Diamond and mola mola Tambaqui dac.. Sound is exceptional but still missing the holography i am after. Ok ok it is about room acoustics as well and i am also working on it and tried nearly all the speaker setting up methods to increade soundstage depth and width but when i read the reviews two brands are famous for speaker dissepearinh and holographic sound stage. Vivid and Estelon. Any opinions?

I own Vivid Giya speakers and have heard the G3, very holographic, effortless sound. Estelon are also very good, however Vivids are a much better bang for your $ IMO. I've never heard of the Alare Remiga 1 Diamond, sorry.

Virtually any set of speakers can be made to disappear, unless they are broken. Before spending anymore money, I would recommend going back and playing with the speaker setup. More money will not make your speakers disappear.

It's not just disappearing, it's soundstage width, depth and spacial cue specificity depends greatly on room setup / treatment but also very good speaker off - axis response. Vivids, for example are excellent with catenary shaped domes for the tweeter and mid - tweeter.

It's not just disappearing,
I know, but making them disappear will give everything agencal is asking for in the last sentence. If they don't disappear, you will get nothing except sound, which will be coming directly from the speakers.

Not necessarily IME.

sbo6, how so?

You can get spacial cues, depth, width without speakers disappearing, but it won't be optimal. When they "disappear" aforementioned sonic attributes somewhat fall in line, if you will, but again, further improvements usually can be achieved.

Don’t know about that, without the speakers disappearing everything will be flat and 2D as everything will be coming from a known physical location, the speakers which means no illusion of reality. No depth, height etc. You may get some sort of width, with a hole in between the speakers. Just like when stereo first came out, with everything panned to one side or the other. So you can hear where the sound is physically coming from, with the speaker disappearing you get the sound coming out of the background / phantom location.

Yes a good speaker set up is the main key for soundstage especially a good amount of distance from the back wall. Yes room accoustics have an other key role especially right adaptation of diffusers. But if the speaker has a great soundstage magic then all cone together and make a realistic soundstage which contains depth, width and hight. Musicians are sperated in layers and you feel the athmosphere of the room wich the song had been recorded. It is a very different and engaging experience. What i heard is bivid and estelon have that magic.
I have a well threted room with a very much worked speaker set up with many laser meters but Alare Labs want their speakerd to be maximum toed in to twords the listner which shows it is a very directional speaker. Ok it has great depth and widht in soundstage but does not have that dissepairing effect so much.
I will try both G3 and xb diamond next week with my Telos 690 amp and see if they deserve their fame about this magic.

Disappearing and everything "being flat" and "coming from a physical location" = panned left and right are 2 extremes, there is much in the middle.

Okay, sbo6.

agencal, s
ounds like you have already made up your mind to try new speakers.
Do you by the way have a diagram / layout or picture of your room how it's setup at the moment?

Vivid and Estelon are excellent examples. With prejudice, I would add Von Schweikert to your short list.

I have lots of seat time with G3s when Phil was distributing Vivid, they always left me impressed. Enough so, I ended up acquiring G2 S2s and they never left me wanting. If the G1 Spirits would fit my room Id have those too. The imaging, staging and 'spatiality' is off the charts, great.
