Has anyone tried to up grade from the old Nautilus Titanium tweeter to the new Diamond tweeter? Should you also replace Xover?
I think you should contact the Bowers&Wilkins dealer with that question. Sometimes there is a way to have an upgrade like that, but not always. Hard to predict.Has anyone tried to up grade from the old Nautilus Titanium tweeter to the new Diamond tweeter? Should you also replace Xover?
I know someone who replaced the diamond tweeters in a set of 802D with a re-coned version not using the diamond cones. I think they were aluminum. It was done for money reasons and I think they were less fragile. I did not like the results but, for him, $300 instead of $1300 each was the deciding factor.I think you should contact the Bowers&Wilkins dealer with that question. The fact that did not like the result might be due to the mismatch between the original and new tweeter. Without a correction of crossover the result might be unsatisfactory.I know someone who replaced the diamond tweeters in a set of 802D with a re-coned version not using the diamond cones.
