Tripoint Grounding Boxes

Thought I'd resurrect this thread.
Can anyone chime in as to whether the basic Tripoint ground cables are silver or copper?
the standard Tripoint grounding cables that came with the Tripoint Troy Signature, and the Tripoint Elite have silver spades, but the cables are jacketed. as i recall i was told they are silver. never seen them without a jacket but no reason to doubt what @Iamrael says.
And ditto the Entreq Eartha Apollo leads?
all my Entreq grounding cables seem to be silver.
The reason I ask is that I've been trying Tripoint Troy grounding on my Airblades, which has worked out fine, but prefer the Entreq Olympus Mini box, however that's with the Troy leads.
so you prefer the Troy grounding cables to the Eartha Appollo on your Airblades?

i have three of the Olympus Mini Boxes on top of my Poseidon, all using the Eartha Appollo cables. but have not messed with it forever. the Entreq is only chassis ground on my EA Bass Tower amps. subtle but valuable effect there. when i first got that i used it on signal grounding the speaker terminals, but quickly went away from that.....it slightly detracted from the energy.

Not quite. I only have the extra Troy ground leads that come with the box to try on my Airblades, which I love. However, I have tried an Apollo lead off the Troy to my Straingauge, and it's not working.
Yet the Troy leads off my spare Entreq Olympus Mini box to the Airblades works better than the Tripoint box.

The Troy box is about crystalline clarity and understandability of details. The Entreq box is about groove and understanding musical messaging/rhythm. The Troy standard cables are 'ok' and consistent with the Troy box...but the Entreq cables (we use their reference Olympus) are really really good...and definitely create greater body, clarity, low noise and rhythm. The Troy upgraded cables might well do same and more...they are also very expensive and have never wanted to go thru the trouble of asking Miguel to audition.

Box for box, I found the Tripoint Troy Signature we have to be better than its counterpart at that time...but pricing when we got the Tripont was very different then than it would be today with official importers, etc. The Entreq is great value for money. Tripoint is expensive, but when you get it right, boy is it special. Perhaps why we use both.

While I have no idea what happens in the metallurgy of using Entreq cables with Tripoint Troy box...as long as your cables are consistent (ie, dont mix and match cables on the box)...I wonder what would happen.

Lloyd, not drawing any hard and fast conclusions, just very strong impressions.
But I definitely prefer my Entreq Olympus Mini box on the Airblades over the Tripoint Troy, and both over the Airblades au naturel ungrounded.
Where I really heard a marked difference was the Tripoint grounding my Straingauge, here the overemphasis on higher frequencies was notable and just too much.
Reverting to grounding the Straingauge via my Silver Tellus lost this over sharpening.
Leaving me confident that putting the Entreq Olympus Mini back to CDP grounding duties, adding another for the Airblades is my best option.
I'm hopefully procuring a pair of silver grounding cables from Paul of Z Axis Audio to complete the new setup, have received excellent feedback about these.
What I may do in due course is try the Entreq MaxMix on the Airblades spkrs cables terminals.

As with all things its a system. The Tripoint is either 'hardening'...or possibly revealing something else. Either way, you are creating balance to get it all right which is all that matters. Enjoy.

Well, the system I heard two Tripoints in (one to Airblades, one to rest of system) is hugely resolving, what I would call a "high tightrope" system, extremely adrenalising, but on the cusp of going into hardness on some passages.
And it's this hardness I hear with the Tripoint on my Straingauge.
Now, I don't hear that hardness on grounding the Airblades via the Tripoint, but I still preferred the somewhat more earthy, organic sound of the grounding via Entreq.
Sugar and spice, and all things nice.
