But he probably generates more revenue than all the public employees in the state of Washington combined. Probably most of them on a single Saturday.

Interesting, How does that compare to the salary of real teachers those, who are forming the minds, which is what mostly an University is said to be about? Do ANY single teacher and/or Dean, rector, provost, etc, salary compare? Isn't that a little sad?

It has been observed that Mack Brown's salary at Texas is higher than the total value of football scholarships awarded to his players in a given year.

Brady Hoke of Michigan (my alma mater) pulled down more than $3M in his inaugural season. While Bo Schembechler was coach, he was listed on U-M employment roster with the faculty of Atmospheric and Oceanic Science. Probably paid accordingly.
