We binge watched Season 3

This show constantly makes me laugh but season 3 IMO is more of a comedic drama than a flat out comedy. Nonetheless it explores again the life of Midge Maisel and her agent Suzy

Every episode contained a lot of singing and entertaining to show that Mrs Maisel is in the entertainment world

There was an ongoing side story involving Jane Lynch who was briefly in Season 2 playing a very famous comedienne. Season 3 she has a major role wherein Suzy also becomes her manager and lands her a dramatic gig on Broadway which turns out to be a real fiasco

Midge's parents remain wonderful in their role

There is a new relationship with her ex-husband Joel whom she remarries while both are roaring drunk in Las Vegas as well as a new relationship with Joel and Mei as Joel opens a night club in the heart of China Town

I found the season driven by many side stories, hence my comment that this year was more of a comedic drama. Episode 1 was the best as we hear Midge rehearsing "dick" jokes that will have you rolling

All in all there is more character development with too many side stories but fun nonetheless. The Jane Lynch raucous just took to long and wasn't that funnny

What remains the funniest is the interactions between Midge and Suzy as the season comes to an end with Midge somewhat of a success and thinking she has money to buy her old apartment back from her ex father in law but doesn't know that Suzy has gambled and lost all of her money. Fade to black as they are standing on the tarmac as the plane leaves without them

Definitely worth the watch if you are a fan. Very good but not as great as the first two seasons
