Taiko Audio Extreme Router

Several reset routines done.
Trials with ipad and Samsung tablet.
Taikoaudio Wlan obviously works again, I am reading and writing here with it as my entrance to the internet.

Service request sent. Sigh. Maybe press the router reset button?

If I connected the dots correctly, this involves XDMS, and Ed has been in contact with you to troubleshoot the issue.

He did!
Did I mention that Ed is my hero?
Give this man a medal!

Thx to all folks at Taiko, for your support, my best wishes for successful troubleshooting and bug crashing with XDMS and have a great time in Munich!
Cheers, Ulrich

For those of us who are content with Roon. Do/should we do the install ALPHA 3.0.11? I don't want to run into a previous problem when I didn't keep up with the upgrades and it became "stuck" in XDMS and wouldn't allow me to get back into ROON...

Alpha 3.0.11 is the new app. It would only install on your mobile device.

Having said that, if you are happy with Roon why would you bother?

no need to install XDMS Alpha Control App 3.0.11 if you are using Roon

XDMS beta will be coming soon, but we will release it slowly, just two or three systems a week

Exactly what I thought would happen did! If XDMS is installed and is configured as your default setting then YES you must keep up with the latest updates! I'll get Edward to either remove XDMS or make Roon my default setting. We attempted this before, obviously unsuccessfully...

Or just have XDMS uninstallled so you don’t have to worry about. You can also disable the startup program which runs XDMS.

I thought I did have it uninstalled. I'm not sure how to properly disable it. I just rewired an isolation transformer without issue and a simple task such as this creates issues for me, go figure...

Ask Ed to do it.

The prior version before alpha, wouldn't for some reason stay in Roon as my DEFAULT. Maybe this version will stay in Roon and not always go to XDMS as my DEFAULT

This is how I have always had it toggled and it always resorted back to XDMS, with soft reboots. I don't know if it was in how mine was originally configured. I never use it. As mentioned maybe this alpha version will properly function. This was why I originally asked the question...

Hi John, there is a range of startup/config files that can alter this behavior under the hood. If you haven't sent in a ticket yet, please do so, and I will ask Ed to help you out.
