Steve's CES 2012 Picture Thread

It's not the quality of the photo's that matter, its the story that it tells. Highly Enjoyable!

Will always buy you a beer, if you ever get down under for all the effort.

Superb and thank you.

thanks steve , nice pics I like the wilson speaker close ups , first time i saw the tweeter change , i reckon it sounds smoother .
I would have loved to hear some of the set ups like the new rockport and post 27 or 28 i think that were NTT speakers .
And the big wavacs i ve never heard .

Thanks to you and Amir, Steve. Hope I can pitch in for WBF next year. Alas, this year just wasn't meant to be. :(

Steves CES 2012 Picture Thread

Hi Steve,

Great job in taking all of these pictures and for your comments on what you saw and heard. I was there as well (but without a camera).

Just one minor correction - for your picture of the VTL and Rockport room - the tower style VTL amp that they were using wasn't the new Siegfried mono block Series 2 but rather the new stereo S400 Series 2 amp. And, I definitely agree with you - that room sounded very, very good, especially listening to vinyl.

Arnie

I knew that. Both amps were there. One of my friends owns the Siegfried monos. That was the stereo amp in the center. Sorry for the confusion

Thanks for the tour Steve. Now I know whatyou look like too :)

Elliot

are you still a Scaena dealer

The ones at CES were absolutely terrific

its a new speaker and i have not heard it yet. i am going to hear it next week. Alan is one of my best friends and golf partner.

what's different about it?

THe tweeter is a new custom made ribbon . I know there are other changes but it was hush hush, and I did not get a chance to hear it because they were trying to finish it and get it to the show on time.
I have heard the other speaker many times and I have heard the big ones at HP as well. I am excited to hear these becuase they tell me its just plain scary. I will hear it at Alan's home in a room I have been in many times and have listened to a wide variety of amps etc. I would love to get a pair of the new ARC's in there to try some time as well.

Which ones ...Reference 250 or the soon to be released Reference 750

Either but since I the 750's are not out yet and I don't plan to buy a pair anytime soon I would say the 250's are something we can actually try.

Dave Gordon says the Ref 250 is the best amp they've built

My thanks as well to Steve and Amir for great, enjoyable coverage of CES 2012. I hope to make it to RMAF this year.

Thanks for the tour Steve. Now I know whatyou look like too :)

What!? Where? Which picture? What page?

=> Page 1, post #2. But who is Steve, is he at the right or at the left on that picture???
Is he the older or the younger gentleman???

Why is that that people don't give us more precision in life???
Are they afraid of somethin'? Or what? Fear of getting older, or fear of getting younger?
Please tell my why, and who?.. :b

OK, got it now! Steve is the good looking young guy! :b
{I was lookin' at the equipment, not the guys. Girls are fine though.
And I was more enthralled by the pictures than the rest; text.}

Sooooory. :b
