Hello everyone. I already have the Onkyo TX-RZ730 (9.2) AVR. I'm considering purchasing the Denon PMA-600NE (2.1) integrated amplifier. I'm confident that the integrated amp will provide much better power to my left and right front main speakers than the Onkyo AVR, but will it provide my headphones a better / more powerful signal to my Audio-Technica ATH-M50x headphones than the Onkyo?

In general, I'm guessing any amplifier headphone jack will do a better job than an AVR will but wanted to ask your thoughts. Thank you.

I have to admit I never thought of it that way. I see no reason why that would automatically be the case. The answer should be in a detailed spec. sheet. If they both have headphone amps.

The comment about a headphone connection being "better" on an actual amplifier than that offered from an AVR are things I've been told as a generic statement. I'll try comparing specs but I didn't think there was much offered from either the Onkyo site/manual on the TX-RZ730 nor the Denon website (PMA-600NE) in regards to the headphone output.

In regards to speaker output on a dedicated amp versus an AVR, I do believe your speakers (floor standing or bookshelf) are getting a better output source (better source / less channels being driven on an amp).

Thanks.

"Better" is a subjective term. "More "powerful" is objective. The latter can be answered on the spec sheet. Most have headphone amp with an output rating. The perception of powerful can vary. It begins at the spec sheet and ends with your evaluation.
I hope that helps.
