Skyfall trailer - real

have seen it twice, first one with my son at 12PM for the premier last week...liked it a lot!

It's such a good movie it would be sacrilege to spoil it. Enjoy! We'll talk on Saturday

Saw it with my son this pm. Enjoyed it very much. I had forgotten the storylines of Casino and Quantum. This one I should be able to remember.

watched it with my wife yesterday, walked into the theater with a very high expectation - considering the rave reviews. The first half was really good..

or maybe I was just distracted in the second half. I was expecting an important call/text all day and kept my phone on, in silent/vibrate mode. When it vibrated, I took it out of my jacket's breast pocket and took a look. As soon as I turned the screen on, the guy behind me kicked the back of my seat - my wife said "you could ask nicely you know". I turned around and calmly asked "what's up", the guy won't even look at me..

ding,

good thing you don't have a pen that can detonate something. :D

the plot is not complicated and not confusing either, it's getting to look like those die hard themes with simple good guy bad-bad guy combat. the action scenes are great and so was the music. i haven't been to shanghai but boy those aerial shots of the city at night look fantastic.

After much waiting we finally got to see the movie yesterday. I must admit that we were juiced to see it because by all accounts this "is" the BEST Bond movie of the 50 year franchise.Well the music was good and I enjoyed Adele singing the theme song.

IMO the film was almost a compilation of sorts of the past 50 years of Bond wherein we get to visit Skyfall and see his Aston Martin DB3 as well as getting to see a new Q and Moneypenny as well as one twist at the end which I won't divulge.

Having said all of this the movie was just "so-so" with an interesting story line. Javier Bardem is the villain and IMO he was the star of the show. His acting was wonderful and he probably plays the first gay Bond villain in the franchise. Daniel Craig seemed almost robot like in his presence on the screen. In fact he was even looking older since his last Bond role

To Peter (ack) who sees evry Bond movie 3 times, I give you credit because for me once was probably enough.

I agree with Tomelex.....best I can give is a 3 out of 5 star but if you are a Bond fan, it is still worth the 2.5 hours but far, far, from the Best Bond movie and although the opening is typical Bond it is not even close to the opening in Casino Royale

:D I agree, I never thought it's the best of the series and hence didn't say anything like that. In fact, I still like Casino Royale and Goldfinger the most, if only for the dialogs and that killer casino sequence in CR. But I would rate it 4.5/5 - a very well-told story that ties in with everything we know exceptionally well, and don't forget: no gadgets, we are still building up to Dr. No, Bond is still maturing as a spy; we are still in the pre days. I'll still watch it a third time soon... I really liked it; hey, even the Vatican gave it a glowing review! Because of the untold last scene, it's the next movie that all the gadgets will be coming out...

EDIT: The Stuxnet virus influence in the plot and everything around it should be "gadget" enough???

Well Peter, I must confess that I would buy the movie for my library and probably watch it once more but that's it ;)

I read the entire "original" series by Ian Fleming in 4 weeks

You never hear of Smersh or Spectre any more.

And for another bit of trivia, and without peaking, what does SPECTRE stand for
