Thanks! Many things to try after the installation, even because the room is brand new and dedicated, thus I expect a long job to do to achieve the best possible sound. Anyway Aldo Zaninello will come to set them personally. Also the amplification is to carefully check for best synergy among my amps, McCormack DNA.2 and Crown I Tech series in addition to the new (for me ) high promising CanEVER AUDIO Malibran. I will share her my finding as soon as I made some listeninig.

I’ve just seen these and I guess your upcoming orchestra 2.9 will have the super tweeters integrated into the speakers like these?

So beautiful, actually I could easily have bought them but not the Maat if Aldo did this 3 years ago. You’re lucky to own them, fantastic stuff :)!

I’m very much looking forward to hearing them in Munich this year.

Actually I have bought the standard version thus no super tweeter and no such stellar xvover, but I have clear in my mind what I purchased and why. I also will attend at Munich High End shown on Saturday and Sunday, it would be nice to meet up at Aldo stand and share some talking.

I listened to the standard version and even under show conditions, I was blown away. Many audiophile friends here felt the same so I am sure you’ll still be very happy and pleased with their performance :)

Thanks! Indeed I consider myself very lucky, even to have a wife supporting me in this hobby

Happy Sunday with lovely music everyone :).

I received a batch of SACDs that I bought last week and one of these is spectacular with Haydn - Sinfonia Concertante in B Flat Major, performed by Pinchas Zukerman and Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. I can’t seem to find this album on either Qobuz or Spotify, so it’s critical to have physical copies of favourite music available!

My system is almost done now and hopefully one day Aldo will come over with these super tweeters to complete the job. Piano and strings concertos sound amazing with lifelike presentation. Even my 13.5 years old daughter while staying in the kitchen told me that it sounds so real to her, and yes of course to her own.

Silvano, I hope your room for the Orchestra 2.9 will be finished soon and you can tell us about the wonderful journey with these speakers.

Hi Son, yes, the room is almost ready, currently the bricklayer is building up the a special new ceiling to integrate some powerful and hidden led light strips and a acoustic treatment. The last touch will be the covering of the wall behind the loudspeakers with real rocks for aesthetic purpose and sound improvement as it will works as diffuser due to its 3D surface. So I'm very close to listen my new Sgma Orchestra 2.9 at their best!

The word "almost" in your case sounds really reductive, anyway you're right, Aldo can do the magic anytime, for sure.

The McCormack DNA-2 really caught my attention once again, in this test it drives the Orchestra with impressive authority

Hemingway Omega cables are finally here. I’ll report how they sound in comparison to my already wonderful Nordost Odin 2.

It’s a pity that I only have 1 pair of Omega XLR cables for demo, so I can just connect between dac-pre in my system while the length is not enough for pre-monoblocks.

I was utterly impressed by the Beta and Sigma versions when they were with me last year and comparing to Crystal Cables Dream.

With some very first few tracks from an old recording of Gene Ammons - Boss Tenor, I can understand how great the Omega can do with the Hemingway signature sounds of dynamics, balanced and sweetness even the system was just turned on.

I can easily live with these cables in any systems and not worrying about changing for anything else.

After 7h of letting my system on with nonstop playing while working, I now have sometimes to properly listen to the music, especially the cables to see how things’ progressed; because my guess is these Omega cables are brand new and sent to me straightaway after being built. So they need time to burn in and settle down.

Having used the Hemingway Sigma and Beta cables last year for several months with joys and satisfaction, I was so keen on trying the Omega here but it was no easy job as these totl cables are usually made by orders.

When I came to Munich this year and visited the Hemingway room, I met Mr Chung who is the owner and designer of these wonderful cables as well as his daughter - a beautiful young lady acting as the CEO of the company. It’s interesting that Mr Chung doesn’t speak English and his daughter did all the translations for us :).

They didn’t know me in the first place until I told them that our mutual friend, who brought a suitcase of Hemingway cables to my house in the UK last year to try, and I’d love to hear their top Omega one day. Actually my friend did record 2 videos with my system running all Hemingway cables and posted on South Korean forums, so they recognised that’s me .

These Hemingway cables are truly special, they’ve produced a kinda addictive sound that’s hard to part with. Everything seems right and comes through very natural with their sweet and liquid voice.

I can tell that the Omega are more relaxing and delicate than the Odin 2. Apart from the explosive nature of Nordost, Hemingway cables don’t lack dynamics, slams or speed at all although somehow I can see the Odin 2 are a tad louder than the Omega. I tend to listen with volume set at 16 but now at 17.

The Omega are so good that they made me listen to the full track Cubatino by Philippe Cretien via Qobuz Connect with surprises, as I used to skip most of his songs when streaming as the sound quality is not comparable to CDs. The first time I’ve heard his songs sounded that good online but not from my lovely transport.

These are my first impression after listening to these Hemingway Omega xlr cables with very limited time with them. It’s interesting to see how they can improve even further in the following days/weeks. Hopefully one day I’ll have chance to try their speakers cables here, gonna be crazy!

It took me a bit longer than planned to get my listenining room ready but now it only needs some manpower to transport the Orchestra 2.9 in here. Also heavy curtains have arrived and awaiting me to be back home to be installed. I finished the room the day before I left for my usual work trip abroad, and now can't wait to connect the speakers and start some beautiful listening.

Meanwhile the first heavy load is in position, the travertine pedestal for the Studer is there, only it weights 150 kg.....next move the Orchestra and then let's the music talk!
