SET amp owners thread

It's always best to have a safety earth ground, especially on tube amps where there is high voltage present. If the ground-loop causes noise, this isolator usually solves the problem:

I use them for my SET monoblocks that have 1000V on the output tubes. They also convert balanced to single-ended for me. No degradation in SQ, in fact they improve things quite a bit. Thanks to these, I don't have any ground-loops in my system.

Does anybody know what's under 2nd cover at Lamm ML3 on the photo?
1st covers output transformer obviously.
Power supply has 2 chokes, power trafo and some caps which can be identified from the Lamm website photos.

Impressive settings!
:)

You assume everyone here welcome everyone? One might be a serial killer.

Well it is easy to validate a genuine person. A serial killer will not be able to chat with you in details about cartridges or TTs. An audiophile is pschyo enough on one front to be psycho on another.

ps: I was about to write "A serial killer will not be able to chat with you in detail about cartridges or TTs or recordings", but then edited

Hmmm, Silence of the Lamms!!

A genuine serial killer wouldn’t survive an audiophile meeting...

My post was obviously a mistake.
Hi Redcars,
Your post was great, apologies, just probably got caught up in some banter but I liked your post (I literally liked it as well). Would love to know more.
Best wishes
