Are they up against the back wall? What is it made of?
Yes, against the back wall.
It is a thick bearing wall, even covered with stone.
Probably the thickest and heaviest wall in the whole house :D

You should also post your main system on this thread

Simply gorgeous

You said "for now the Crossfire 3". Are you contemplating a change there?

Please do yourself a very big favour and try the KR PX25 output tubes in your wonderful Pacific DAC instead of the subpar 101d's ;)
You will thank me later :D

He does with every post ;)...just read below his comments...

Hmm, signatures are not seen on the mobile, just when from the laptop/desktop

On the iPhone (at least the one I have) Ked the signatures are there if you rotate (the phone that is) 90 degrees to landscape format...

That’s a first task in the plan for 2019;)

This is great, keep the photos coming guys.

It is interesting we are all getting excited about amplifier design that harks back to the 30's. Makes me wonder if there was something lost in the SS designs that more or less killed off tubes in the mass market, form before function, 'practicality' before sound?

Can we please avoid making this another SS vs SETs thread?

Indeed I agree. My point is the enthusiasm for SET and it's healthy 'revival'.

Sorry but I have to repeat my exact words from before:
Your room and system are also just a dream :cool:

And I saw the nice detail with the mutilated KR recti ;)
How did you extract the tube out of that REALLY confined space?
I guess inserting seems feasible but pulling the tube out again looks like a real challenge o_O
