He is just saying an orchestra that measures correctly sounds great and can be reproduced only on vinyl

Lol, just found this ancient thread and loved your respose to Kees. I think I know what SC is talking about, however contrary to his opinion, I feel that with a good system you do not necessarily confine yourself to a live orchestra to fully experiene what in his words music is about. Wonder what you think....

Ha, those were the days we were having a lot of debates on what vinyl, digital, and objective vs subjective. Luckily we have more productive discussions now

Interestingly enough he has far more of his recordings available only in digital format than analog. Even many of his analog master recordings have only been officially released in digital form.
