Question about Shunyata Venom NR with an audiophile power supply?

Hi,

I am new to the forum and apologize if this has been discussed. Recently, thanks to being able to test cables from The Cable Company Lending Library, I started the process of converting all four of my video/audio set ups to Shunyata Power. I already bought one PS10 and two Defenders. I also have a bunch of Venom V14 NR power cords.

Reading the write up on Shunyata web page, the impression I got that when it comes to external power supplies, this power cord is made to work with the ordinary brick type power supplies. But what happens when you connect it to an audiophile grade power supply? I have in mind IFI Audio IPower Elite. It's an audiophile SMPS power supply that has worked well for me in the past. It has its own Active Noise Reduction technology which is different from that found in Shunyata Venom NR. I want to connect it to my modem/router, my MOCA adapter and my Kaleidescape movie player, with Venom V14 NR feeding it from PS10.

So the question is, theoretically, will there be a conflict between the two active noise reduction circuits? Would they work against each other or complement each other? Is it in principle a bad idea to have both?

Thanks in advance for your help,
Stan

I imagine noise reduction, when done correctly, could be additive.

I have an iFi Elite that I use to power my nearest switch. I have found it to be relatively insensitive to PC's, for my application. But a V14 NR certainly would not harm its performance.

It did wonders for my DAC, but did nothing for my Innuos server. It appears that Shunyata now offers regular and NR version of their interconnect lines. I have a Denali, so the benefit of the V14 NR is on top of my other filtering.
