About 18 months ago the Puget Sound Audio Club was started by Jeff Kalina who has turned the reins over to me. The club has been meeting monthly with a mix of in home demos as well as meetings at Shunyata, Gig Harbor Audio, Seattle HiFi, and Jason Victor Serinus' room. Our 11 members are music lovers and gear heads whose systems and budgets range from fairly modest setups all the way to the ultra high end. Geographically we come from all over the Puget Sound region including Seattle, but most of us are on the West side of the Sound. We are a convivial group and most of our members get together for drinks and/or dinner after the meeting. We would like to add a few new members without growing too much. Our next meeting will be August 16th in Sequim where will be visiting two of our members as well as getting an update on the build of a dedicated room that is happening out there. Please message me if you are interested in joining. There are no dues.

hi Paul,

i thought your group was "The Off Islander Audio Society".......which is a really cool name. there is already the PNWAS (Pacific Northwest Audio Society) too and this new name might be confusing to try and have it clearly distinct.

i'm a bit too far away to join in, there is that big water in between, but best wishes.

I've enjoyed hobnobbing with this group of audio enthusiasts since Jeff contacted me regarding a vinyl collection some months ago. It's been fun and gratifying to help a few members set their analog kit right. Join us in exploration of things aural.

Yes, Jeff choose the "Off Islander Audio Society" name which was a very good name except for the fairly explicit exclusion of Bainbridge and the other islands where at least three of our members currently live.

PNWAS is a great group and resource and I have been to a couple of their meetings. I think we would like to retain a smaller and more collegial feeling while adding a few new members.

We are still hoping to arrange a visit to your room sometime this fall. I hope that is something you are still open to?
