Sheesh! I just had a couple of buddies over to hear some tape.... they're in the same boat now.. Abbey Road wrecked them!!
I'm regretting not being able to make it down with Rich for the Revolver demo, but in a way I dodged a bullet... after hearing your system, coming back to my little
setup will be depressing, I'm sure.... trying to mentally prepare myself!

Rich did stop by here on Sunday and we did play Revolver. and then i played my Parlaphone Original Mono pressing with my mono cartridge and the MFSL stereo pressing with the stereo cartridge on the NVS. the (stereo) tape was significantly better.....it was very very good. later we played another of his tapes, a famous jazz recording, and my 45rpm was at least as good overall and maybe slightly better.

one never knows.

then we played some great classical tapes of Rich's that were heavenly.

wish i could have heard Abbey Road.
